The staff make this place special - always kind and helpful. The bed and pillows so comfortable . The location, for my purpose, was perfect. The kitchen hadn’t been properly cleaned. Food in freezer. Counters not fully wiped down and stove/stove controls splattered with food/grease. Easy enough to clean down, but hadn’t been done.

Spacious clean room In the hall, there was a large gaping hole in the ceiling with a bucket underneath it. There also was no breakfast.

Shrimp and grits were outstanding and Annie our server was as well.

Moisture problem, cloth couch super dirty, water marks on bottom of doors, bad bed- if you are sharing the bed you can feel every move the other person makes, THERE IS A TRAIN TRACK RIGHT NEXT TO THE HOTEL- about 8 to 10 trains per day a few of which are in the middle of the night. Shower had mold in the corners and shower door didn't stay closed. You can tell the room was nice when it was new but they just haven't kept up with it, now it is all dirty and worn looking.

The pool was super nice and the the large room especially! I paid for the lake view and didn’t get it. When I asked at the front desk they said back booked through a 3rd party Expedia means they couldn’t do anything about it.
