The hotel is getting a complete renovation. It will be a very nice place when completed. If Their continental breakfast needs more options. Their housekeeper worked very hard when asked for service. Unfortunately only one person. The hotel location is ideal for walking to restaurants and beaches. Covered parking was a plus. It suited our needs.

¿Excelente lugar para compartir en pareja o en familia, un buen punto para caminar muy cerca de la playa? El personal muy atento y lugar muy conveniente

Despite the construction, I had a nice room with a balcony, that if I peered across the horizon, I could see the Atlantic Ocean. Except when going to Jekyll Island, I basically parked my vehicle, and walked around all weekend.

Currently under renovation and the exterior gives a completely different impression of the interior. Rooms are old and outdated.

The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. Loved the balcony and the staff was really super nice and helpful. The property is still under renovation and it just looked junky. There was an old musty smell that I found was from the curtains. Do they ever get washed? Changed out? I did love that we were only a couple minute walk from the beach and super close to shopping and dining options. Probably will be a LONG time before we stay here again. Maybe the renovations will be done in a couple of years.

There’s very little parking available during busy times on the island, and we didn’t know until we arrived that this property was under construction. The hotel is older, but still ok. Everything was clean inside, but the pool needed to be vacuumed. Overall, it was fine, just not as nice as we had expected it to be for our anniversary trip.

Place is being renovated. There was no hot water, no ice & no means for unlimited coffee. They offered unlimited coffee. They had no coffee cups!
-
Other than that it was a good place to stay. A couple of the restaurants we wanted to try were right there within walking distance.

Staff was friendly, and the location was great!

We planned to stay here for two nights, with our young children, but almost immediately things became uncomfortable. We had a check-in time of 4 and arrived at 4:05. We were told our room was still being cleaned and it would be around an hour before the room was ready. We went to the park across the street, and no more than 20 minutes were called back saying the room was ready. We walked back into the lobby, and were greeted by the man behind the desk, for the second time in 30 minutes. He had no idea who we were. Things felt off, but we checked into our room anyways. We got on the elevator, realizing the elevator goes straight from the parking garage to any of the floors, meaning anyone can access the hotel at any time. Again, with two young children, that was a safety concern. As we walked down the hall to our room, it was filthy from construction. The room was filthy, the balcony was filthy, and the pool was filthy. We had no choice but to stay one night and check out the following morning. There were cockroaches in the room, the fire alarms on our floor were taped over for painting, and the smell was irritating. The few times we needed assistance in the lobby, we would wait 10-15 minutes for the same man who checked us in to come up from the garage. Not sure what he had going on but it was very uncomfortable. Location was great, the building has incredible potential, but cleanliness, safety, and comfort matter more as parents. Super disappointed.

The Tv did not work; and the shower made an extremely loud high pitch noise as the warm water flowed thru the shower head causing me to have a head ache. At check in.. I informed the gentleman that processed my check in that there were guests making out in the pool that also had coors light beers at the pool area while swimming.. He proceeded to make a joke about joining them but to make sure to only touch the woman because he’s a Christian and he don’t swing that way to touch the man … I was extremely shocked and appalled and when he saw the expression on my face he then realized that I was Gay and then he apologized and went on to say how he has gay friends that’s he’s cool with and they get along great as long as they don’t make a pass at him or flirt with him but other than that it’s cool.. I changed the subject and informed him that I had booked 2 rooms , one for me and my adopted son who just completed his first year as a corporal sarget in the marines and one room for my brother and his wife.. we were in town for a fishing trip.. I am from the I usually stay at the light house inn and have been for several years… in fact I have personally become friends with the hotel manager and over the years she has watched my son grow up and become a marine.. however I needed 2 rooms for this trip and they only had one available because of a wedding.. so I booked the 2 rooms here at the ocean inn.. honestly it was a mistake staying there

The staff was wonderful! Robert made you feel like family. It was clean and a little outdated but they are under major renovations so next year it will be even better. The coffee was amazing and serve yourself any time of day with a machine that made lattes, cappuccinos, etc. Just a short walk to the beach and the pier village restaurants and shops. Very affordable.

The only good thing was great location. It would be great to see a new owner take this hotel to a new level with fair prices for the area.

Despite the renovations that were going on, everything was great!!!!

The hotel was in the process of being remodeled but it did not cause any problems with our stay. The rooms will be very nice and up to date once the remodel is finished. We were in great walking distance to restaurants and downtown shopping. We will definitely stay again!

I would stay here again and already looking forward to my next visit.

Broken toilet, couldn’t fix it during our stay. Had to use the lobby bathroom.

The property will be lovely when renovations are completed. Right now it’s a little less than desirable however, they did notify after I booked that there was construction… I just didn’t see my message until after I stayed there and that is on me. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean that is really the most important…
