Royal Inn

I like it that its queit and u can relax and not be bothered. That there wasnt a plug in the bathroom to plug in a hair dryer or curling iron. And I dont like that that there isn't a iron or ironing board to use or a blow dryer for ur hair.. no phone access. Also housekeeping needs to make sure to also clean the air conditioning filters some have bad with built up dust.

That its quiet and no one messes with you.. That i could sleep and not be bothered by anyone.. and its not loud around the place .

Management was rude and the room was disgusting. I went to check in and it was unclean. I didn’t know they had a pet fee which was not a big issue, I should have called and asked but it slipped my mind however, management is as extremely rude about it. I finally decided I was just going to leave. The guy behind the desk offered to show me the room and I agreed. There were literally bugs crawling around on the floor of the room. I immediately left. When requesting a refund, the manager was again rude and said I was lying about the bugs and when I responded, they ignored me. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Clean recently renovated Noisy right by a busy intersection. Dealing with check-in a little odd. Over camera and speaker. No body actually on sight.

I was impressed by the efficiency of the check-in procedure and the friendly service I received.  Your motel brought back memories of the motels I encountered while traveling along Route 66 in the past. The renovations are excellent, with clean and comfortable rooms and facilities. If I ever require accommodation in the future, I would definitely consider staying here again.

The front office lady was apologetic and friendly, but you certainly get what you pay for with this "Royal" Inn. There was nowhere to hang clothes, no closet and no ice machine on the property. It was a tiny room, which was ok with me but no table or chair (unlike the advertised photos) to sit anywhere other than the bed. I had read another review indicating sketchy guests staying there and sure enough...I woke up to 15 minutes of a man and woman screaming vulgarities at each other. Look, I just needed a place to sleep and this room provided that. I've stayed in some cheap hotels before but I can't imagine a much worse motel than this "Royal Inn".

When we got there, as we'd called earlier and notified them we had traffic and would be late (coming from the DFW area), there was NO ONE in the Check-in office!! Lights on, door unlocked... no "be right back" sign. Nothing. No one was there. I sent an email immediately thinking it would alert the desk worker. Nope. 20 more minutes went by... no one. So, what we're saying is... Even though we called at 10:41 PM the night of the stay and told them we'd be in after 12:30 AM, the manager on site over-booked our room and cancelled our reservation. Our number was in YOUR booking system! A simple phone call from the ACTUAL LOCATION in Stephenville, TX would have been the proper CUSTOMER SERVICE thing to do... But that would require someone who gave 2 cents of care about their "job." Whoever they are, they should quit and look into shoveling manure at a local horse stable... But that might be too much of a customer service role for you. Absolutely nothing. No chance to. Question: What good is a reservation if you cancel it? We put a credit card on file with them, even though the system advertised that you only "pay when you arrive" and they still tried to charge our card 12 to 14 hours in advance of our stay!!? Then they double booked the room and booted a RESERVATION???!!!?? I will FOREVER AVOID any listing by ANY of the "OYO" affiliated properties from here out. The customer service representative we got on the phone was indifferent. When I asked, "so where do I sleep, then?" They responded, "I suggest you find other accommodations." And that's all they said and there was a long pause. Then nonchalantly they said, "We will be in touch with you soon to resolve this matter. Good bye.". What?!?!? We had to drive the rest of the 6 hours home!! There was nothing else available at 1:30 AM!! We should have known when we called before we got on the road to confirm we'd be late when the number was in NEW YORK and the person at a CALL CENTER was obviously off continent. NO MORE business from us. We will seek legal action of 100% of the fees attempting to charge are not withdrawn and/or refunded immediately! YOU had OUR phone number on file! It's REQUIRED by the Booking.com system. Find a different job where you DO NOT use ANY customer service skills, because you don't have ANY.

No towels and the rooms do not look like the pictures. We had to change rooms because the shower was broken.

Ummmmm that there was a carport. At least for the room I was in It had no hot water, bad location, staff somewhat helpful but not very kind at all, rooms are small. And no storage space available

At first I thought this isn’t too bad. But when I went to bed I discovered there was only this thin so called bed spread for covers. The top sheet had been tucked in only to discover another top sheet. When I pulled the fist one back the one underneath it was dirty. My daughter was bitten by some kind of bug in the bed. The floor were swept and mopped but were still dirty. Make sure you wear sock to walk or your feet will be filthy. There are no plugs for hairdryers except at the lamp. When I plugged it in I had to hold it in place because the plug is upside down and due to the fact that plus on the wall lamp the actual lamp keeps you from plugging it in correctly. There was a table with no chairs so if you are dining in the room be prepared to eat in bed.

Bed Microwave and fridge wasn't working

In all reality, for someone that’s in town just for work, it’s a great place to stay. They clean your room, replace used towels and do your bed. Restrooms a little small, sometimes slightly noisy outside environment due to the place being next to an intersection. But if you’re just looking for a comfortable bed with hot showers, great a/c, cable tv, and parking right in front of your room, all at the best price you can find in Stephenville, this is your place.

And was it was not a pleasant stay very unfriendly stuff

We don’t smoke but had to take a smoking room which we were blessed to get. The pillows could have been fluffier.
