The hotel is beautiful. Clean. In a great location. Loved the 2 Adirondack chairs outside our room. My only comments, are there is no storage for anything. It was very difficult in the bathroom to use any products or lay anything down. We could not find the outlets on the bed frame until we were leaving and we could not figure out how to use the tv...which ended up not being an issue anyways. Again, absolutely beautiful place to stay and if skiing on Stowe, it is just up the road and great coffee and food across the road. I'd stay again.

La chambre était magnifique avec le balcon et la vue! L'espace au sous-sol avec le coin piscine et spa juste un gros 10/10! Merci

Clean quiet hotel. Good water pressure in the shower. Only issue was you had to lean on the bathroom door to get it to latch and pull hard on the door leading to the deck to get it to open.

Maria at the front desk was so helpful and made check in a breeze. We only stayed one night and got in late so we didn’t get to try out the hot tub, sauna, or pool, but they all looked clean when we walked by. One thing to note is the AC and bathroom fan are kind of loud, so maybe pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The room was clean and came with toiletries (and a robe!) to feel extra cozy. The location is also peaceful and beautiful, with a few restaurants and markets nearby. While the room was a bit small (ceiling height is about 7 feet), it was comfortable for our stay. :)

My husband and I stayed in a king stuga for 4 nights. Loved the minimalist style. Great outside space, right by the river. We had a campfire one night and met lovely people. I liked having the kitchen for easy meals and snacks since eating out is so expensive now. The AC is only in the living room, and it worked well for us. Perhaps bring a small fan for the bedroom if it’s a really warm. Great location in Stowe. Ask for a cabin farther away from the main lodge, they are more private. There is no coffee maker in the cabins, but there is an electric tea kettle.

The hotel is beautiful and has a great outdoors area including fire pits, games, a lot of seating areas and a hut tub. There is also an indoor pool that is heated and open late. Originally we were put in a room that had a really potent musty smell, we asked to move to a different one. Both the original room and the new one were pretty small, mostly just space for a bed and a little boundry to walk around it. The hotel has no cleaning service, the beds are not made at any point in our stay and even the room trash isn't clear, they put new towels on our beds some of the days but did not change towels that were specifically left on the floor so they would be changed. At no point was it advertised or stated to us that there are no cleanings, the only way we found out this was by design is by actively asking the service desk.

The room was perfect with a view of the river.

The AC unit though is extremely loud.

Given the price none of this would have merited a terrible review but our experience was in fact awful. Beware of room 139. Starting around 1130pm a loud, grating noise came on every 1/2 hour lasting for 30 seconds before turning into a higher pitched whine for another 15 seconds. We called the after hours number and they told us it was the water heating system and they weren't sure they could fix it. So a known issue and yet they rented out this room?! They managed to get it fixed between 1 and 3 am but then it restarted. Needless to say we had almost no sleep and a 3 hr drive home - putting us in a dangerous situation. mgmt have been completely unresponsive even though we both complained at checkout and have written to them directly

Beautiful location in a very serene and peaceful area

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, property was nice. We only stayed one night, so we didn't get to use any of the amenities, but they are pet friendly and that was key!

Pleasant

The room was a major disappointment — far smaller than advertised and completely impractical for a business stay. There was no desk, nowhere to work, and barely enough space to move around. Combined with the poor check‑in experience, this stay fell well below expectations.

Quiet, serene and comfortable.

Superb

Basic "homestyle" hot tub.

Nice quiet and more simple European style hotel
