Unfortunately the hotel is really starting to show its age. We had a two queen room. One of the beds would sink 5” in the middle when weight was applied to it. There was a fair amount of mold in the bathroom especially around the shower and ceiling. The electronic key reader on the door failed to read the key if it wasn’t used every couple hours. We made many trips to the front desk to get the room key reprogrammed. Other guests had the same issues with keys. Most of the staff was very nice. The pool area is very dated but fairly clean. Half of the games in the “arcade don’t work but take the kids money.

The bar only had one tap beer, it was alright. the room was fine, mostly clean and had a view of the lake, could almost see the fireworks from the window. I did not check out the breakfast, the pool and hot tub looked nice, I wish I would have noticed the sauna earlier in the night, that may have been nice. it was a work trip so I was just happy to have a fairly comfy bed and pillow to lay on after driving and working.

No one there to help us check in had to go to the bar. Dated facility. Paint peeling. Pool hours were not the same as we were told. No pool towels even available when we did go. Doors slammed all night long. Awful.

Nice bar and patio. Good bartenders. Front desk was problematic. The handicapped lady at the front desk could not communicate well and seemed to be clueless about all of the things required to do her job well. Just shrugged her shoulders at any of our questions. Overall it clouded the experience and we will probably not be returning.

Was wonderful and a beautiful couple of days

We arrived late and were happy the bar was still open, the bar staff was great. We didn’t notice until the morning our dirty our room was, looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in awhile.

Great hotel Great location

My family boasted how this was the best place to stay in Superior. So we booked it! Others since said its gone wayyy downhill. It was a long trip for us from Colorado and we really looked forward to getting here. We will not be returning next summer.

We spent our 5th anniversary there. The furniture in our room had seen better days, which didn't matter to us, other than that everything else was really good. There was a bartender in the lounge on Thursday night 6/11 with a unique name which I can't remember, who was great! We got in late, and decided to have a couple drinks before bed. He made us feel welcomed, and was fun to talk to. He seemed to really enjoy his job. We will be back next time we are in the Superior/Duluth area.

Stayed here while I was working for a week… the shower was unclean with soap residue. The bed sheets had large yellow stains on them. The carpet was so dirty with stains and dirt they need a shampooing. This place over all just needs a lot of help. I stayed when the price was reasonable but it’s almost not even worth $80 per night..

Everything was very nice. I’ll be back.

Requested a room change as the fitted sheet on one if the two queen beds did not cover the mattress. Staff quickly changed rooms, upon room change 2nd room was barely better.

We thought this place was a gem! Relaxing atmosphere, great location, food in the restaurant/bar was amazing! Julie was our bartender and was very friendly! Perfect Bloody Mary's and the homemade pretzel was outstanding! Rooms clean and old school Air Conditioner ran perfect. Yes, bathroom fan was really loud, but no biggie. We look forward to coming back!

Staff were great. We didn't try the restaurant or pool. The restaurant is not open for breakfast like indicated in older posts. Room had not been vacuumed.

I liked the lodge type of feel the hotel had. The rooms are functional and might be in need of tlc in terms of upgrades to the mattresses and wardrobe. The room was otherwise clean and comfortable. I appreciated the black out curtains in the room which did help with sleep during travel. Breakfast wasn’t what I’d call continental; frozen breakfast sandwiches, cereal, yogurt packs, and sugary snack options. Staff was helpful and kind. The pool/spa were definitely well maintained and a highlight of the property as well as their restaurant.

Our room was dirty - obvious stains on the sheets, previous guest's fruit on the window sill, water spots on the mirror, toothpaste on the counter, french fry in the microwave, grime in the fridge. On a positive note, the hotel was quiet, the room had a microwave and fridge, and the pool and hot tub were nice. I had a reservation to stay here again on our way back through Superior, but I have canceled that reservation. I could overlook the peeling paint and old carpet. The lack of decent cleaning is inexcusable.
