Holiday Inn Express Syracuse Airport by IHG

Exceptional

I don’t always stay in Holiday Inn Express but I’ve stayed in many over the years but none of those compared to this particular hotel. Very clean and well run.

Disappointing

This is a good hotel with a decent breakfast and coffee. The problem with it is that is is very hard to find, and is hard to get to from the airport. We drove past it twice before we found it. The signage is terrible. You have to drive around the block to get on the correct side of the road, too. Another disappoint was the breakfast closing time. We arrived at the hotel around 1:00 am coming from Pacific time. Given that it’s an airport hotel, it would have been nice to get more sleep after a very long travel day rather than waking up in order to catch some breakfast. Other than those two things, it was a nice hotel.

Shuttle service to the airport was a plus. The bed was pretty comfortable and it was nice to have access to breakfast. We left our keys in our room during our stay and the staff at the front desk was very kind and helpful in giving us a new key. One staff member in particular was extremely rude to me over the phone. I had tried to cancel my booking to get a cheaper airbnb with a friend instead. I was unable to cancel it which was fine, but the staff were rude over the phone and would transfer me to other people without telling me that's what they were doing and then be mad I didn't know who I was talking to. It honestly was very upsetting as I was just trying to get more info and they were not helpful at all in the process. Booking.com support tried to call the front desk 3 times to waive my cancellation fee and not once was the phone answered so I eventually gave up and just stayed here. For $500, the bathrooms were not very clean. The walls had pink stains on them for some reason, and the pipes were rusted over. The shower had yellow stains and overall was not what I was hoping for with the money we paid.

I had a pleasant stay. The staff was helpful, rooms were clean and the parking lot was well lit.

It was a super clean hotel. Very close to the airport and had a shuttle. The folks were very helpful and great to work with. Sort of hard to find but a gem when you do.

Took us a while to get the shuttle squared away, but when we did, everything was fine.

Front desk staff when I checked in was extremely helpful with shuttle information.

Great breakfast, ample parking, and close to Syracuse University.

The desk staff and airport shuttle staff were pleasant and exceptionally helpful.

I was told that id have pillows and blanket sent to my room....I had to call front desk the next morning because we were only given a duvet cover, not blanket and no pillows. No washcloths...not enough towels for our party.
