La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tampa Bay Area-Tampa South

The breakfast was great all the food was hot and with great quantity. I have nothing bad to say about the stay at this hotel.

Was happy for the most part. Free parking. Staff was very friendly. There was a foul smell in hall of my room. The faucet in my room didn’t work properly. The eggs at breakfast were horrible do I could enjoy that benefit.

I have had the opportunity to stay at this hotel several times due to its proximity to McDill Air Force Base. However, with each visit, I have noticed a decline in the facilities. This last time was the worst, as the smell of humidity in the hallways and in the room was unbearable, so much so that I decided to leave a night earlier than planned. It’s clear that urgent improvements are needed in the maintenance of the facilities. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

It was clean, tidy and well located. Perhaps they could allocated better parking. Also, the communication between booking.com and the property management company could be better. They had deadlines and specific requirements but didn’t ask for it on one email, it was sporadic and took up a lot of time to respond. I had to email Back and forth constantly which was inconvenient and annoying. They weren’t clear about the parking permits either.

I didn't have washcloths in my bathroom, but I made do. Still had fresh towels and hand towels.

The location is convenient and walkable.

Not really anything except its location Everything it was dirty, there was mold on the ceiling the hallways smelt awful the room didn’t look clean ac unit was leaking water into the room, the breakfast was horrific didn’t even bother eating

I only wish that extra blanket was available in the room. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was also adequate. Air conditioning worked well. The cleaning staff honored my wishes to not be disturbed. The online check-in was useful, but I also had to check-in when I got to the hotel. They still required my physical card although it was already on the account.

The bathroom upgrade and complimentary bath soap were great however, the upgrade did not match the esthetic of the room. The rooms were old and smelly and the shower and bathtub looked liked they belonged in a much classier hotel. Wish I could give a good review on this hotel but it was awful. The coffee was good. Everything, the beds were awful, the AC did not work well, smelly musty odor in the hallway and bedroom. The guest washing machine smelled like years of stagnant water. Book elsewhere. The outside and lobby area of the building is very deceiving compared to how it looks on the upper floors

Housekeeping did keep the hallways clean, as well as the rooms. They respected the "Do no disturb" door tags. I will use them again.

The worse LaQuinta Inn by Wyndham I have ever stayed at. Walked into the room smelled like pure MOLD! I examined the room & seen mold all over the walls & ceiling. Went to switch rooms, that room also had mold on the ceiling but smelled way better than the first room. I will not recommend or return to that hotel again. Very bad first experience.
