Motel 6 Texas City, TX - I-45 South

I don't even know where to start. There was no toilet paper in the room, so I went to the lobby to ask for some, but no one was there, so I ended up grabbing a roll from the laundry room myself. The floors were slippery, the bed was uncomfortable, and the elevator smelled like weed. There was construction all around the hotel. But what took the cake was the underwear hanging from the curtain rods.

The room was clean and well kept. It was exactly what we needed for the night.

Overall good.

Clean Ask for extra pillows the said they would bring but never did. Only one towl in room no floor mat in bathroom floors were very slick. Coffy bar was not set up in lobby for morning coffee

One thing that stood out is the restaurant across the street called Kelley’s. It was nice to take a stroll across the street for dinner. Food was good and very reasonable priced, but you’d better go there hungry because the portions are large.

The hotel was okay. There was stuff on the walls in our room, that should have been wiped off prior to us using the room. The staff was helpful, yet hard to connect with, as no one was at the front desk. It was a nice location for our purpose. It just needs some attention to detail cleaning. It did have a nice bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. We might stay again in this hotel, if we needed a place in the area again.

There was hair all over the floor and the beds. It just felt nasty. The sheets had a musty smell with yellow on them. The front desk had a carefree attitude. Every time I saw someone they were sitting down on there phones by the wall. The ac sounded like it was going out. The freezer had nasty stuff in it. The stair well smelled like someone smoked weed in it. Then the next day smelled like a mixture of bleach and weed.

The sheets and towels were all damp when we arrived and had mold stains on the sheets. We were given fresh linens by maintenance guy since no one was at the desk and had to make the bed with the new linens. My key stopped working on the 2nd day and rang the bell at the desk for 30 minutes before a maintenance guy showed up to help. The staff and cleaning crew were yelling and arguing in the 3rd floor hall outside my room in the middle of the day with trash strung all over the hall.

Roaches everywhere! You can’t escape them

This was one of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever seen. Thank god we only stayed one night. We got the about 4:30 & was given our key card to our room. When I opened the door I was shocked at the mess the room was in. The beds were torn apart, there was trash all over the room & the was a sticky looking liquid over about 1/3 of the floor. And that was what I could see, I refused to walk in the door. Got another room key & went to check it out before we hauled our stuff down there. I will never ever stay at a Motel 6 again.

Nothing There were Roaches everywhere in the room. The rooms were dirty, there was way too much floor cleaner on the floor, it was slippery and sticky. The room smelled really strong of pine sol floor cleaner. The shower water pressure was a trickle and didn’t get hot. The room felt humid even with the a/c on. I was quoted a lower price, but charged an outrageous price at check in. Not even sure I want to stay the whole night.

There was pee on my toilet seat

Upon late arrival 11pm, we got to our room and when turning on the lights we found 13 roaches in restroom, one on floor at the bed. Then found 4 more in the shower. Called front desk to be told they had sprayed the room, when asking for a different room was told they were sold out. We were not expecting a lot, but wasn’t ready for roaches. Would not recommend this hotel!!
