Super clean, really easy check in/check out, close to everything and especially to the best bakery in Truckee Mattress is thin

Steps away from the train station, shopping, restaurants & coffee shop. The place is very clean.

Close to everything in town. It was clean and tidy. The owners and employees were super helpful and very accommodating. Nothing. I have nothing negative to say about the property.

Location is right in town, Lots of nearby restaurants, shops and bars all walking distance. Price was very affordable, bathrooms were super clean and plentiful. bunk was cozy. Room was a bit hot at night and temp could not be adjusted. Not enough clothes hangers for a 4 person room. The parking situation was confusing (no on premises parking and limited free/overnight parking in town). No staff on site and the lobby has limited seating and not very comfortable furniture. There is a weird bar/kitchen that takes up a lot of the lobby space. It would be better if the lobby had more comfortable seating/tables and or tv for lounging since the rooms are really only for sleeping.

If you wanted to self cater, dishes were scarce, or I didn't find them, next time I will only stay at a place with an attendant, I never saw anyone.

Proximity to the lake , river, and town of Truckee is perfect. It’s not for my wife with bunk beds and shared rooms and the bathroom down the hall.

Great checkin/out automatic number codes, very clean showers, good bunks. Very close to the train station (2 blocks away, just across the tracks!) and all of downtown Truckee, walkable. Staff onsite helpful. Microwave and fridge available were very helpful. If you're on a budget, there's a good gas station convenience store nearby that has all the common microwaveable foods and sandwiches. The common lobby was very cold, had to wear a sweatshirt and winter jacket. This is particularly relevant because the rules of the establishment are that you can't eat in your room. The shower heat was very severely cyclic, every 30 seconds or so it would go ice cold and then warm up again - this is because of the instant heater type they have installed. VERY overpriced.

Wish they provided two pillows instead of one, but that’s just personal preference

Location was good, bed was comfy, room was clean Our room was so small that we had only about 12" of space around 2 sides of the bed. There was very little space to put our stuff, and nowhere to hang out except on the bed. Luckily we had backpacks, and were able to hang on the wall. I don't know what you'd do if you had 2 suitcases. The hotel has a distinct youth hostel feel to it, which would be okay, but I thought it was pretty pricey for that ambiance.

The check in process was a little confusing.

Self check in and access codes. Safety issue - the curtain bar came down on the bunk bed when I grabbed it when exiting the bunk. I would suggest installing handles for guests to grab.

extra amenities like heaters, blankets, and pillows were readily available. Everything is self serve with no staff, but pre-arrival instructions and printed instructions on site made everything easy. Bathrooms were communal but exceptionally clean. Beds were surprisingly comfortable and definitely clean.

Its cleanliness indicated it was well-maintained. Very interesting concept. I had a room with a queen bed that filled up the room. My only complaint is that the key code pad to get into my room was very fickle. It was hard to use and took too many attempts before it would open. I found that very frustrating, especially after a long day.

Prime location, great bunks & clean everything. Nice surprise spot to crash on a long motorcycle trip. Nothing! Earplugs were fantastic, 3M!

Barebones accommodation for an overnight ski trip Room was a little too warm.
