The bed was the most comfortable and the room darkest and quietest of any place I've stayed, even those 3 times the price. The room was spacious and comfortable and the view from my window of sunset over the lake! And it was cool that the clerk knew who I was before I announced myself due to online check in. On the other hand: The elevator to the 3rd floor acted like it was not in tip top shape and the breakfast mediocre. But I would definitely do it all over again.

Friendly, helpful staff

Great price friendly staff and very clean room

No major problems. Dining room was comfortable and well stocked for breakfast. Staff was wonderful, especially the housekeepers. Price was perfect for one night. However, buy a carpet cleaner for the lobby, update the weird quasi-Graceland/mountain chalet theme (again, lobby), and fix the elevator. It jerks and drops and shutters like crazy.

Room was clean and comfortable, Staff was awesome, breakfast had normal choices, parking is good. this is very fair priced, quiet, family friendly, relaxing stay. close to plenty of places for eating dinner.

Excellent help

Told immediately hotel is not responsible for the parking lot. Asked for a recommendation in town and was treated like I was an aggravation. Sign at front desk with list of normal room items and their prices. These last two led me to wonder if I was safe, was the parking lot dangerous, and did this hotel have so much theft that it has to warn customers not to steal? AC was on 68 upon arrival and the room was freezing. I turned the heat on and up to 85 but still froze all night, it was not cold outside. Shower head sprayed all around and the anti slip mat felt like standing on needles in several places. Toilet paper a lot rougher than other hotels in the area.

In town for a funeral, the staff was Excellent and very accommodating. Nice location on the lake with nice restaurants near by and convenient shopping. Good hot breakfast and a nice quiet clean hotel.

Great Hotel

The night table had used band aides suck on it. Cleaning products were left in the room but maybe that was intentional Lysol spray of two styles.

Everything was excellent even the location,nearby stores, restaurants, I'm telling all families and friends about the American Inn in Vidalia Georgia my husband and I really enjoy our stay There weren't nothing not to like

I would give the room a 3, but it was clean and didn’t feel gross, so I will give it a 4.

I went there to get a whirlpool bath and asked specifically for this hotel only to find out that there was no working Jacuzzi for at least a year, but still advertising that there was one. Had to go through a lot of wrangling to get my refund and still have not received my credit. Hopefully I won't have a problem getting my money back for the two days that they promised I would receive.

Get up early if you want breakfast

One of the associates she came and talked with my grandsons to calm down and she was great. The pool area could use more fans was a little warm in there.

Older facility but pretty clean. Quiet and safe. Check in staff was very friendly
