Technically the room was clean. Staff was kind of rude. Front staff at check in started off rude and quickly tried to change her attitude after I identified myself as a travel agent. However, everyone but the maintenance guy was rude and seemed to hate this job. We had maintenance because the TV didn't work. The shower couldn't regulate between hot or cold but continuously flipped between one extreme or the other. The linoleum floor wasn't even attached in the bathroom and you could see where the wall was rotted away in places. No outside garbage cans so people seemed to stack up their trash near the stairs. No microwaves. No breakfast. And there was a stack of boxes against the wall to the ceiling near the check in desk Area may once have had a restaurant and etc, but businesses seem to have closed down I will definitely NOT be recommending this hotel to any of my clients

It was an okay stay especially for the price.

When I mentioned that we had made a request for these aspects the very bored young lady at the desk told me that you "never read the requests" and that the hotel was all booked up, so that was the only room available, (despite the parking lot being at BEST 1/2 full). The room as a long trek from the front desk, there was NO luggage cart, ("it had been taken"), no offer of help, so, after a very had day, we ,2 seniors,( one pushing 80!)ad to suck it up and haul our stuff up and through the hallways to our substandard overly lit crappy room. using the inconvenient, out of the way extremely slow elevator. The room was ok, clean, large, with no carpet, (good for dogs), but (as we discovered), IN DIRECT LINE OF AN OUTSIDE SPOTLIGHT shining right into the room at bed level. AND: the outlet on. one side of the bed was dead, preventing reading and charging ones phone. We were NOT impressed, to say the least! The dog area is on the side of the parking lot, not appealing, no grass and marginally safe from cars coming around the corner. Of all the hotels we've been over the years this is one of the worst- not only due to the room but also in great part by the cavalier attitude of the deskyoung woman

No early check in, room was fine
-
Rooms smell like smoke It was very dirty walls bathroom mirrors floors Smell bad I will definitely not stay in here anymore
-
Dirty, roaches, unsafe, air conditioning is loud.
-
The room is fine, but most of late night people keep power tripping knocking the door. and the last time i was check in no telephone on my room and no iron for clothes.

Room should not have been made available. German cockroaches, dead beatles and bugs around room. Caulking in bathroom incomplete and nasty looking. Rubber base siding of tub came off. They don't vacuum so floor was dirty. So much space in the room but no chair, couch or suitcase stand. Real waste of space. Overall bad but staff was nice.

Never clean room

Don't think of spending your money here! I found out from locals - after I booked my 2 night stay- that this hotel is known for seedy stuff. The room I had for the first night was super run-down, and there was a crazy loud noise all night long from the bathroom fan system. The staff was very nice and gave me a different room the next day, but overall, this is not worth considering.

Still, the building itself revealed problems. We could hear all forms of noise from outside, along with clear, ecstatic voices of other tenants right next to us. It was as if we left the doors and windows cracked open, which I think could be remedied with proper inspection and sealant. Additionally, the shower water temperature varied significantly, which is likely due to old piping. I’m no plumber, and I’m sure it’s an expensive fix, but I imagine this could be fixed once for all future tenants.

I didn’t expect much from this hotel because it was the cheapest I could find. I appreciated the ease of check in and check out. However the property needs a serious update. The front doors to the rooms were so old they didn’t shut properly, it looked as if they weren’t closed all the way. Some of the door locks and knobs were broken or loose. There was splatter of who knows what randomly on the walls inside the rooms. The towels had stains on them which you could tell had been washed and rewashed. I overall felt very dirty staying there. I wiped the floors with paper towels that I brought from home and the dust, dirt and grime was unreal. I will say, I chose this hotel for the price and didn’t expect to spend much time in the room. The location is great if you are looking to spend the day at Oceanside. Fast food/restaurants all around, it’s next to a Target and Walmart so the convenience was nice. Right off the 78 freeway so just about a 15-20 min drive to the pier which is also a huge bonus.

Not the most updated building but very convenient and super friendly staff.

Hotel was disgusting
-
Room was dirty, smoke detector was covered in plastic, no room service, overall it is just old and not kept up
-
Plenty of parking for oversized vehicles however the room and bathroom need major renovations. Walla were open on some areas, bathroom was disgusting although the lobby of the hotel was nice and clean. I will never stay here again.
