Bring a blow dryer bring your own shampoo and conditioner, and body wash

It was in San Marcos No functioning tv without paying for activation. One sitting chair that was stained. Beds looked and felt like they were wore out and bouncing on springs. Sheets and pillows looked overused and worn out…were bad, cheap, too small for the bed. Elevator floor was filthy… Homeless camped in the parking lot. Huge full size old refrigerator in room, no table to eat at-cheapest towels I have ever seen- tub spout moved like it was glued on plastic-no water pressure. Hated this stay. Hope to save others some grief. And expensive for nothing! No coffee in room even! Bad.

The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The grounds, lobby and hallways were clean and well maintained, though the lobby was very sparse. Drinks and snacks were available via vending machines. As for the room... well... The bathroom countertop had some sort of permanent brown stains (at least I think they were oermanent. I wasn't about to touch them.) The faucet in the tub was coming off the wall, the faucet's handle fell off in my hand when I turned it, and the drain plug in the tub was broken off. The bed was kind off strange... it was very stiff. When I sat on the edge of it, the other side lifted up. And there was no box spring, jut the mattress on a raised steel frame like a memory foam mattress would use. It wasn't super uncomfortable, but it wasn't super comfortable, either. Just kind of strange.

The room looks fine with big refrigerator family size but the hallways carpet in very rough condition with terrible smell. I do highly recommend it to book at this hotel.

Called the morning of my reservation and was told I could get early CheckIn, no problem, any time after Noon. Arrived at 2pm and was turned away because the "wi-fi was down". Was told "hopefully it will be up by 3pm check-in". Came back at 3:30 wi-fi still down. Front and back doors were wide open, lots of sketchy people coming and going. Hotel was very bare bones, felt more like being in a hostel. Did not feel safe or comfortable. Checked out early.

No one at front desk at check in. Sign said to call from the vestibule, which merely rang the empty front desk. Probably the saggiest and least comfortable bed I’ve slept in. Fig newtons for breakfast.

Bed quality was subpar. They should have shampoo dispensers in the shower.

Our housekeeping day was missed with no explanation. I rescheduled with the front desk, who confirmed on two separate days our room would be cleaned—both times it wasn't. We took our dog out all day, twice, so housekeeping could work uninterrupted. After the second no-show, I gave up and took the trash out myself. Staff later entered our room unannounced, then said they'd skipped cleaning because of our dog—never communicated despite our efforts to accommodate it. Front desk staff were cold and often rude; once I waited five minutes while an employee finished a phone argument before helping me. The backdoor didn't work, which the staff and guests often left propped open—a real security issue. The one elevator was out our first weekend, forcing us to carry luggage up flights of stairs with a toddler. Other issues: the "fitness room" had one kettlebell and a couple machines, no dumbbells—might as well not have a fitness room. Breakfast was just packaged snacks, vending was overpriced, and there were crackheads in the parking lot on occasion, with people living out of their cars. A few days after checkout, they charged us an unexplained $200 fee with zero communication. I didn't trust this staff to resolve it fairly and let it go. Between the housekeeping failures, rude staff, maintenance issues, and surprise charge, I would never stay here again, and was relieved to leave.

I enjoyed my stay, however they need to use sheets and towels without any stains because our first thought was "They didn't change the sheets and gave us dirty towels". I really loved the kitchenette, it was very useful for us. I think the breakfast needs an upgrade and the Gym needs some more weights. You do have to take out your own trash when your trash is full. Other than that the stay was good. There wasn't a time where I felt unsafe so that was great.
