Very helpful to have fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink. Convenient location in the middle of Waimea. Would go back.

Great location. Comfortable beds. Better than average appliances, coffee maker, large fridge, tv etc. View of ocean, and an easy walk to non swimming beach. Complex registration process in addition to just using the booking app. Air conditioner was a bit noisy.

room was decent although one of the two beds was old, squeaky and worn out. clean room, staff nice, location good

Great place to spend the night ahead of a day in Waimea Canyon. Air conditioned!

Very clean room and amazing staff.

The property was very clean the staff was amazing. Behind the property there was a wonderful walk to the ocean. There was plenty of food options nearby a gas station a grocery store and local options. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

Extremely clean (truly impressed - outside looks unassuming) and affordable lodging option, in all of Kauai. The area is a bit barren. There are food options but it feels a bit “at the end of the road”. Some homeless folk are around. This is all completely manageable. You’ll be in the park most of the time.

Great stay and amazing location.

The room was clean but the property had clutter that needed to be cleaned up. My room had no issues, had no ocean view, the park and ocean view are a block away. I cooked on the barbeque and used the pavilion, that was great. The beach near the hotel has cloudy water from the river, a few miles down the road are perfect beaches.

We came from a few time zones east so the morning roosters were fine with us, still set your alarm as you get used to them after a day or two. Waimea canyon access is a few minutes drive. A great coffee shop and local movie theater is across the street. Kids bring your boogie boards as you can catch the river current out and then ride the waves back in. We were lucky to catch the Chinese New Year celebration in Hanapepe that the kids will love but every Friday night is an arts night celebration there. Talk Story Bookstore has moved from their original location unfortunately but the kids will love to be in the home town of Lilo and Stitch. .

What a gem for travelers exploring Waimea Canyon and the Napali Coast without having to fork out resort prices. There's nothing fancy about little Waimea. The same is true with the West Inn. One travel guide we read described it as the closest thing to a Holiday Inn Express (compared to resorts down the coast toward Lihue). Fair enough. But it was totally comfortable, quiet and off-the-charts clean. Impressive. The owner was extremely helpful in accommodating our late check-in after a day on the water for a coastal tour, and provided tips on local restaurants. Our advice: Dinner at locally owned Wrangler's Steakhouse was outstanding, even if we only ordered simple burgers and beer. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Top-quality food. Like the West Inn, strong management shows in the product at Wrangler's Steakhouse. Nothing could have been better.

The bed and pillows.

Access to our room was easy. The room is clean and comfortable. The location is good and near restaurants and the public pier. There is a lanai with tables and chairs for dining and a view of a small horse ranch bordered by the ocean.
