Waimea Plantation Cottages, a Coast Resort

Our cottage was well maintained and very clean. The AC worked beautifully—it stayed nice and crisp inside, and the air smelled fresh, with none of the musty or moldy smell you sometimes encounter in humid climates. We also enjoyed having a full kitchen, which was easy and convenient to cook in. The only minor suggestions would be to add a wire-mesh strainer to the kitchen sink to keep food debris out of the drain and possibly replace or repair the microwave, since it didn’t heat very well. These were small inconveniences and didn’t take away from our overall experience. We had a great time and would happily stay here again. The cottages are charming and comfortable, but the wonderful hospitality is what really made our visit special.

If you want an Aloha experience come to this resort. I really could relax in this vintage cottage. The location is off the usual tourist route yet near amenities like restaurants, and shops. Waimea Canyon is a 40 minute drive to hiking and amazing views. This would be an ideal setting for a wedding celebration many unique cabins for guests to stay at with grassy beach area. Loved the vibes.

First time on Kauai and so happy we selected this place. Beautiful, friendly and hard to leave to go back to reality. Loved every bit of our 5 day stay! Will be back soon!!

Exceptional

We had flight and traffic delays. Staff emailed to inform us what we needed to do if we arrive after 8 pm. It was very hot and humid when we were there. It was nice that the A/C was running before we got there. It was very refreshing and comforting.

This is a special place! The cottages are older but clean and the AC is great. It is so peaceful and beautiful and old-fashioned in the best possible way. Great access to Waimea Canyon and KoKee State Park.

We really loved the cottages. It felt so authentic Kauai. The grounds and view were beautiful. We will definitely return!

Spacious cottage Old facilities

We loved staying in our beautiful cabin and hearing the ocean waves as we fell asleep every night! It was the perfect size for a couple and had everything we needed to cook breakfast and relax after a day at the beach or hiking the Waimea Canyon. The location was ideal too and we felt very safe.

Property is beautiful and lush. The pictures do it no justice. Staff was very nice. We ate at the restaurant there 4 times, the good was great! Especially the pizzas and BBQ.

I couldn't have imagined staying in a more perfect place that these amazing cottages!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at the cottages! The three bedrooms, two bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen, and outdoor dining area made our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. The atmosphere was peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing. We especially loved enjoying our morning coffee on the porch and having such a welcoming place to return to after a busy day. One of the highlights of our stay was the beautifully maintained seaside gardens!! We highly recommend the cottages to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway!

Good thing there is a kitchen because the on-site restaurant is terribly expensive ($21 for very average cheeseburger) and you don’t really have wait staff, have go to counter to order. We ended up going to a nearby grocery store & getting breakfast & lunch items so kitchen is decently equipped.

Totally enjoyed this property; quiet and simply beautiful.

Once we learned where electric box was we could flip ourselves. Check out at 11, I asked about late checkout (12pm- late flight) at first I was told no. I asked could we at least hang out at pool- told no we had to leave property!!!! Once I complained about all the issues or inconveniences- I was told we could stay the 1 hour. I understand they needed to clean- I was willing to wait at pool. Just disappointed in customer service after we were more than fair with roaches and no AC
