The Featherbed Inn & Nordic Spa is a bed and breakfast nestled in the heart of Vermont's Mad River Valley. The property features a swimming pond, an outdoor hot tub as well as fire pits. A different three-course breakfast is served every morning. The accommodations is located in close proximity to ski resorts like Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. The Featherbed Connector trail provides direct access to about 40 miles of maintained mountain biking, snowshoeing and backcountry skiing trails. This place is so very special. The hosts are so kind and went out of their way to get to know us and show us where to go in the area based on our interests. The breakfasts were delicious, and the spa was a welcome amenity at the end of a long car ride or a long hike.

This is a hidden gem. The property is amazing. The hosts Karen and Mick delightful, Delicious breakfast and an environment full of outdoor opportunities!

Delicious gourmet breakfasts with the BEST scones ever, an amazing sauna accompanied by a cold plunge and jacuzzi to enjoy every evening, spacious and comfortable rooms, and the kindness and generosity of truly exceptional hosts—Mick and Karen. You feel cared for and cared about, in this nourishing and beautiful space.

I really can’t say enough good things about this property. Mick and Karen were marvelous hosts. Our family had a wonderful time at their bed and breakfast which feels like a warm and welcoming home. It always smelled amazing inside - whether from baking cookies, mulling cider or home cooking. Karen and Mack outdid themselves every morning with a 3 course gourmet breakfast - best scones ever! The Beatrice Suite was perfect for our family of four. I wasn’t brave enough but my family loved the cold plunge, sauna and hot tub after a long day of skiing. Sugarbush Mountain is just an 8 minute drive and there are lots of delicious options for food to choose from close by. This is a great location for winter sports and looking forward to coming back and experiencing this beautiful property in the summer!

Karen and Mick are the BEST....they are a team that welcomes you into their family as soon as you arrive. The Inn is so homey, the bedroom so welcoming and the bed/pillows/bedding.....AMAZING. They are the best guides for anything in the area. BUT...the breakfasts are gourmet delicious! !!! Not a thing

Beautiful inn situated in picturesque surroundings only minutes from historic Waitsfield. Great room and facilities including spa, outdoor fire. Our bed (yes, it was a featherbed) was incredibly comfortable, breakfasts were a treat with all local produce and our hosts (Karen and Mick) were amazing, very knowledgeable about local tourist attractions and places to visit.

The only negative was that the doors to the buildings and rooms did not have locks.

The drive to Sugarbush is quick and well worth the drive to stay at the Featherbed Inn. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful property and gracious hosts. The food was exceptional. The grounds were beautiful and very close to hiking trails. This is a lovely place for the VT Band B experience. It's probably not the best place to stay if you're just looking for a night's sleep because staying there is a whole experience. I will stay here again for sure. It was advertised as pet friendly but only certain spaces are pet friendly and Booking doesn't allow you to differentiate the rooms as you book. The hosts allowed us to stay in their non-pet room but I felt uncomfortable knowing the pet wasn't supposed to be there.

Our stay was delightful from the time we arrived. The greeting was very friendly and comforting. The room was perfect for our needs with extra space if needed. The breakfast was very tasty and they were very kind to fit our schedule.
