We went to our room and found that there were no bottles of water in the room. Again, okay. I travel for a living. Almost every major corporate hotel chain has a bottle of water in the room now, but no problem. Having to take some medication, I tried the tap water, which was literally undrinkable, so I went downstairs to buy a bottle of water. No problem. Got the bottle of water and waited 6 or 7 minutes for somebody to come to the front desk. She said that it would be $5. I asked her if she could room charge it, or I handed her a card if she couldn't room charge. Again, every major corporate hotel I go to room charges, but no problem. Then she told me they are cash only. I said, "Cash only?" She says, "Cash only," so I went back up to my room, got the $5, came back down. She threw the money under the till, and I said, "Can I have my receipt, please?" She said, "We don't do receipts here. Hard to believe this is a corporate hotel.

The location was easy to get to and the bed was really comfortable. Never actually ran into another guest which was nice. It’s pet friendly which we loved. And we slept well once we fell asleep. We could hear people above us stomping on the floor all night and multiple doors opening and closing all night were heard through the walls. And it was surprisingly loud. And our room wasn’t deep cleaned only the sheets were changed. The coffee and tea that is complementary to the room were all opened and not replaced, which I’m sure was just an oversight.

The room was nicely updated and clean. Bed was super comfy. For breakfast, we had made to order waffles and eggs along with normal yogurt and cereal. This was my second time staying here on my return trip. I chose this hotel because it was pet friendly for traveling with my cat. The staff was super friendly. I will definitely stay here again on my trips from Texas to Florida. It is close to I-12 and has food options as well as a Walmart nearby.
