Holiday Inn Express West Sacramento by IHG

The location was okay for West Sacramento. The place had a relaxed atmosphere and the staff was easy going. Not a lot of restrictions for parking, which was nice. The beds were very comfortable as well. The small refrigerator was very convenient. The location was not the best, but it met our needs. There is a heavy equipment yard behind the hotel that could be loud at times. The breakfast was fine, just not super quality food.

The hotel was in a more commercial area and was a bit noisy.

The room and breakfast was excellent. When I checked in I used booking .Com for the reservation. The woman behind the desk stated they did not receive my payment because I used booking.com so she tried to recharge my card the full amount 264.00 which I had already paid in full. Then, I got a lecture from her and my friend about how I should never use booking.com because the funding is never sent on time. I explained that I use different hotel systems and its convenient for me and offered to call booking.com to get the money. Then , she stated she will just deal with it later and checked me in. I was irritated to do this in front of everyone and like im not even a paid guest which I was. After this, I will not use booking.com anymore and neither use holiday inn. Very unprofessional. Just letting u know, they dont like booking.com

Pancake machine down for our entire stay- disappointing

Clean and well suited for a good night's sleep. The computer was having trouble accepting our reservation and the staff member who sorted it out was very polite, helpful, professional and kind.

Pool and location that's all DIRTY linen with sand in the bed, stains & footprints on the sheets. Dirty pillow slips, obviously slept on prior. DIRTY towels meant I couldn't take a shower. Nobody manning the office until after 12pm so I left after one night . Also nobody has answered my email YET. Paid for 2 nights but handed the key in and LEFT !!!

Clean, good location right off the freeway. Really easy to get to Old Sacramento and restaurants in the area. Nice also to have Grocery Outlet right across the street for essentials. Breakfast was hot, substantial, and appreciated. Used the parking garage each night and felt safe here. Nothing - everything was perfectly fine. There are no “good” deals in Sacramento; it’s all expensive. If your expectations are clean and safe, then your needs will be met here.

Front desk staff is the opposite of helpful. They triple charged me despite the fact that we prepaid And the gentleman who checked us in was very rude. He didn’t tell us how to get to our room and did not explain that he had accidentally triple charged us. I had to look at my credit card and see the three charges and pointed it out to him. He then said that the extra charges would fall off. While the hotel is clean and quiet, the terrible service and extra charges without any apology made it so we would never stay here again.

Staff was fine. Room however was not really clean. There were ants. Saw a few but didn’t get to change room because of time sensitivity on why we are there. By the time we got back…. It was already too late to change rooms, so we just kept it. Next morning, a swarm of ants were on the table and still not sure where they came from. For sure not coming back.

The bed mattress was old and would sink in the middle. Bathtub was chipped. toilet bowl was so shallow one could dip hand in the water when.......?!

It was a clean room with excellent service
