Howard's Creek Inn

We arrived at 6pm. We were told we would receive an email with our room number and door code. We never did receive the email and had to call the number provided and leave a voice mail. We were called back with codes but couldn't open the door so had to call again to find out we had to turn both locks. There is no onsite hotel check in. Finally found the apartment room for our 1 night stay. Opened door and towels were on the bathroom floor, bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and bed was unmade and sheets not changed. Called back to say we were not staying there and had to call another hotel chain to get a room for the night. The pictures of the apartment are way better than the apartment that we saw. Since we guaranteed the room on credit card, we will be disputing the charge.

It’s self check-in but we hadn’t received the check in email with door codes by the time we arrived. Fortunately, there was a phone number and the owner immediately provided the email so entry was not an issue at all. We would highly recommend this place.

We would definitely consider booking again.

This place is a 10 out of 10. To the quick service/fix with my booking error- to the cleanliness of the room- to the great space we had - to the price- to the cute little under eye patches they had set out for my daughters and I to do in the morning- to the great location. This place is awesome. We always like to come back.

Spacious, clean and comfortable. The little kitchenette was great for breakfast. Good restaurants nearby. We stayed in the main house, even though we were facing Main St with a busy restaurant below, our space was quiet. Highly recommended.

The floors were sticky. The pull out couch was awful, terribly uncomfortable. Fridge never got cold. Lighting in the bathroom was very dim

Very nice property. We did not use the kitchen facility but if we stayed longer that would be nice. Not a lot of local food options

I liked the self check in I got in late she texted me everything once the reservation was received.

Loved that it was dog friendly and how convenient it was to Gustards Bistro. It was roomy and perfect for our stay. We would definitely stay again.

Parking was a challenge. We were blocked in by the Bistro patrons next door; however, the public parking is very close and only had to use it one night. The rest of the time we were able to park in the parking lot of the hotel.

Location is very convenient for activities in the Lewiaburg area and the Greenbrier. Excellent restaurants available also!

Wifi

Very nice place. Close to cute shops and eateries. A little confusing to find but no big deal. Only thing missing was a toaster. Would have been nice but toasted in a pan. Would definitely stay again.

This was a quiet, peaceful and comfortable place to stay. The Wi-Fi was at times questionable however if you go here, I hope you’re not going just to stay in and watch TV.

Nice location. Clean comfortable room

The heat didn't work. I was offered an apartment upstairs, but I wasn't feeling good and just dealt with it. 1 suggestion, make sure all utilities are working before customers arrive.

The location was right in the middle of town and only a few minutes down the road from the event we came into town for. It is definitely a much more affordable stay if you're in town for an event at the Greenbrier. Plus there is a restaurant basically on site which is very convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful! The rooms were in very nice condition and it felt like a little home away from home! The first room we were in had ductless mini-split air handlers & the room was on the colder side because it hadn't had ample time to heat up and it was FREEZING outside. The manager quickly offered to assist and when the issue couldn't be immediately resolved, she was very quick to offer to move us to another room and was not rude or at all unpleasant about it. That was definitely a breath of fresh air whereas most places nowadays you'd have to beg to be moved elsewhere and deal with someone who has an attitude toward you for making that kind of request.

Check in was easy. Very responsive and flexible! We'll stay here again when we're in town!

The place was welcoming. We had a great stay and would definitely come back. The only things we had trouble with was trying to figure out how to work the heating system and that they had no spoons in the kitchen cabinet and no coffee maker. We also had a hard time trying to remember two codes…one for the outside door and one for our main room. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
