Shell Island Resort - All Oceanfront Suites

Beautiful view of the ocean. Every staff member was helpful and friendly! Only one elevator was in operation. The room was hot and we were unable to adjust the thermostat and the bed was hard as a rock.

Great place to stay! Does charge a resort fee.

My biggest complaint about this stay was the stains on the fold out couch & the stains on the extra sheets.

The view was great! The little kitchen was very convenient and useful. The restaurant prepared an excellent dinner for me, and all of the staff there were very kind and courteous. The room/residents beneath me (I was on the second floor) was loud. They were sitting out on their balcony playing music and singing out loud so I couldn't total enjoy the ocean view in silence. I didn't like the bedroom so close to the entry door, but I dealt with it.

Alex, the manager, was so helpful in helping us get settled. We had a bad issue our first night and he helped to resolve that in our stay couldn't have been more pleasant and restful. We've been on the road for quite a while and needed a place to just take in the ocean and the good weather. You can't go wrong at this place ...quiet end of the road.!!

The only real dissatisfaction I had was the resort fee ($107 for my four-night stay), which I saw no mention of on Expedia. Overall, I would be glad to stay at SIR again.

Beautiful property - very helpful staff - would definitely go back!!

My only grouch is that they do not have coffee available until 8 AM unless you brew it in your room. And if you are like me, I don’t want the kids to wake up the noise of the coffee pot. There isn’t a close coffee spot unless you want to drive. The rooms are old, but we love the price so we can overlook a few things/ but not coffee!

The pool, ocean views from the room were beautiful. Unfortunately, during our visit one elevator was broke. Very frustrating with wait times as there was a wedding scheduled the same weekend. Our room was not clean when we arrived. Housekeeping never checked on us once. Instead, we walked outside our door to get soaps, coffee, coffee filters, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The staff is nice and friendly but just disappointing to arrive to a dirty room. A suggestion, place Keurig coffee makers in the rooms. The coffee was absolutely horrible. I'd go back again, I'd just request a higher floor and bring all my own cleaning supplies, paper towels, tissues, towels.

The location and views are spectacular. The most beautiful of Wrightsville Beach. The room is in need of a renovation.

The location and view is amazing. The rooms need a deep clean; we had a toddler and her little feet were black from the floor. The floor boards, edges, sofa need a really good scrub! The bed is very uncomfortable with flat pillows. We came for the view and beach and they were exceptional.

Wonderful staff! The front desk workers are all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated but bed was super comfortable and the views are fabulous. One of the elevators was down so did make a for a longer wait time. The pool was very nice. Hot tub jets were not working. Overall I would stay again.

Beautiful view right on the beach. Cute condo style rooms The food was terrible. Especially the breakfast. Cold coffee and foul tasting eggs. They really need to step up on improving the quality of food they serve
