Bring beach towels. (Sundry was limited to kid sized and they are stingy with “pool” towels. Renting beach chairs was convenient but needs to stay open past 4:30. 714 Decor was eclectic (beachfront meets jungle). Lovely new denim pullout sofa with high end beach themed pillows flanking a big cats glass top with deflated bar stool cushions. I’d prefer to have a pillow top bed. Wrightsville Beach was clean and breezy with fun ocean waves. Perfect spot at the end of the island with open space for fiddler crabs and parking garage. “Hot”tub cold to almost tepid. Another guest indicated it was closed off the previous day. I felt absolutely no heat and jet function button needs repair or instructions. Perfect kiddie play pool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Shell Island. This was our first time here and can’t wait to come back! The accommodations were very nice and the beach is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I would absolutely stay here again. Staff are extremely helpful, welcoming and downright nice. The location is perfect, the beach is beautiful, and the elevators are quick. Overall a great stay.

The location and the views The room is small and dated. For the price, the towels were thin and had to ask for more towels and soap. The bathroom had one small and I mean small bar of soap. No soap for the shower. We expected the room to be cleaned while we were at the beach but found out that we had to call housekeeping and request it (was not given this information at check in). For the $400+ a night, daily housekeeping without asking and more than one small tiny bar of soap and two towels should be the bare minimum that would have been needed. The guys at the restaurant were all very nice but the food and drinks were pricey.

The refrigerator door was broken, and there was no ice compartment. The kitchenette was poorly equipped, with only one dull knife that was unusable. No coffee creamer was provided, and coffee supplies and soap were carelessly placed together in the same bucket, which was both unprofessional and unhygienic. The bathroom lacked basic amenities, the towels were of poor quality, and the overall condition reflected a serious lack of maintenance. The worst part was the mattress. It was worn out and sagging, making it impossible to get a proper night’s sleep on either night. Instead of enjoying my holiday, I was left frustrated, uncomfortable, and exhausted. This experience fell far below any reasonable standard for a property charging this price. I work hard for my money, and it is extremely upsetting that my hard-earned $750 was wasted on such a disappointing stay. Had the actual condition of the property been accurately represented, I would never have booked it. I expect this complaint to be taken seriously and request appropriate compensation for an experience that failed to deliver the quality and value that was promised. Internet was having bad speed . In kitchen cabinets were stuffed with paint .

I call the front desk and the response is “We haven’t been able to get that cleaned-sorry “ When I checked out the next morning I asked why I hadn’t been told about the window and offered another room- no response This is not Shell Island A Resort - it’s Hell Island the Last Resort

This hotel made our trip and beach time so simple. The pools were also nice. Very famiky friendly. Staff was ready to help if we had any issues.

Beautiful location. The staff was friendly. Beach is excellent. Had breakfast at the restaurant and it was good, the waitress was friendly and polite.

The View is Amazing. The beach was not crowded. The Pools were clean. The grounds were clean. The food was good. ZERO room service. We had to request bath towels and soap as needed from the front desk DAILY (5 days). We had to take our own dirty towels to the front desk to make room (There were 5 of us). Restaurant bill exceeded the advertised prices.

The location and the restaurant. My issue with the trip was the room assigned. It had the bare minumum compared to my past stays at the hotel. It was really dated . The coffee pot seemed from a dollar store. There wasnt a normal size skillet. The paper towels were cheap. Plus the hvac vent leaked a little in the hallway..

Nice place

The one good thing I can say about the inside is the bed was very comfortable. The mattress was firm and I was able to get a good night’s sleep each night I was there.

Ocean view and the beach is never too crowded. The beds are very uncomfortable.

The staff was excellent. However, the room was disappointing. The furniture was very old and dirty and the rugs on the floor were filthy. The outdoor furniture was very cheap and uncomfortable. There was no place to plug a phone in near the bed because the outlet was behind the headboard and not accessible. A simple extension cord would have been great.

Very nice resort. No waterfountain to fill up personal water bottles, the toaster and coffee maker were low end products, and the hours of the restaurant were confusing. Other than that, the staff were pleasant, the pool was clean and the rooms were comfortable.
