Checked in on July 17, when entering room 166 the AC was off. Upon turning it on it didn't work. We spoke with the front desk and they immediately told us they would send maintenance down. We waited a half hour and spoke with them again and were told again maintenance would be down soon and that they were booked and couldn't move us to another room. Then my oldest came in the room twenty minutes later and it was unbearable still and there was also the smell of urine so she went down and spoke with a different lady at the front desk and we were moved to room 226. Upon arriving in room 226 the AC was off and the room was extremely hot, we turned on the AC to 65 degrees and left to go to a family function as we were in Yankton for my grandmother's funeral. We were gone until about 10:45 pm that evening and returned to the room being unbearably hot. We spoke to the front desk and we were moved to room 269 and the AC was off yet again. We turned the AC on to 65 as we were instructed to and tried our best to sleep despite the room being extremely hot as noted by the night employee who brought us a fan as well to help with the heat. On Saturday morning we left for family functions and came back around 3 in the afternoon to the room being horribly hot again. Maintenance came down, removed the AC at around 4:30 and put in a new AC from another room and it worked. One of worst experiences we've ever had.

Common areas were very worn and dated..chipped paint..very worn rugs…poor condition for the price…pool open way too late (11 pm)…scary bartenders…untrained and lacking skills…breakfast was average at best

Our room was great. It took a bit for the AC to cool the room down but once it did it maintained the temperature well even with the excessive outside temps. Breakfast options were very good and the staff extremely helpful!

-
It needs more cleaning. more breakfast options

Our stay was enjoyable. Pet friendly, clean, the pool was very nice and the on site restaurant was a plus. We enjoyed our stay.
-
Room was really nice! Got the suite for my wedding.
-
Vanity sink clogged, leaky around bottom of toilet. Noisy due to many children on hand running the hallways.
-
Bathroom was not totally clean. Hallways were not cleaned either. Rest of hotel room was clean. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast.

Rooms didn’t have a microwave so a little bit of an inconvenience, and Hot tub was lukewarm. No elevator, so getting up and down the stairs with everything was kind of a pain. However the staff was great and besides the hot tub, the pool area was nice. Rooms were nice and clean.

Great hotel. Clean and easy accessible

Breakfast was really tasty and plenty set put

Room was very clean and comfortable. I realize this place is pet friendly but barking dogs next door to me interrupted my sleep. I was not happy about this. I did report this and they said something was going to be done, but nothing was.

I would not stay here again. Room was clean, my kids liked the slide in the pool. Those were all the positives. Door kept malfunctioning, had to go to the front desk 4 times for someone to let us in. Beds were uncomfortable. Breakfast was barely edible. Pool was rusty and needs to be cleaned. Dogs in room next to us barked all night. Bathroom was so tiny and shower shot water on to the floor no matter where you positioned the head. Some alarm we didn’t set caused the tv to turn on at 3:16 every morning blaring local news. The A/C was so loud we had to turn it off or we couldn’t sleep. We left a day early with no refund. Stay somewhere else.

Went down at 6:15 AM for a nice hot breakfast and the guy at the counter told me that the girl that was supposed to be there didn’t show up and he was sorry but there was no hot food. So thank you best western for a cold yogurt for me and my boyfriend had a cold boiled egg. Way to go! Stay there every year on Thursday before father’s day weekend on our way to our final destination. Disappointed I love the hot breakfast in the morning so we can be on our way!🤔

Not great. Very hot room beds were very uncomfortable requested a roll away bed but mattress was so thin, was like sleeping on springs.
