Old Faithful Inn - Inside the Park

Oh my goodness where to start. Very expensive to stay here! Did not receive the room I paid for. Was given a smaller room. Was told at checkin I would receive a discount back as I received half the room that I paid for. Discount was given the next day THEN Old Faithful Inn took the refund back! I have sent multiple emails and phone calls to right this. No one is returning my messages or answering my calls. Will never stay here again and have shared this awful experience with all who ask. The building is beautiful but the awful customer service has just ruined my experience.

Amazing log architecture!

This hotel is way overpriced for what you get. The staff was not friendly and didn’t seem to want to help with anything and it was like we were putting them out when we ordered drinks at the bar. The worst part? The rooms! So old, felt unclean and so hot (no AC) Our experience at Old Faithful put a damper on our Yellowstone experience. We will for sure never stay here again. It’s a rip off!

Very neat property but lacking amenities big time!!!! No air conditioning in the room and shower was hot and cold off and on. Fan that was in room was loud and moved very little air. Parking was also very poor. For what the room cost I’d definitely recommend staying elsewhere when it’s hot for sure!! Housekeeping was definitely subpar as well!

Great location. We used it as a base while in Yellowstone. Lots to explore and learn while there. Patience was needed while finding parking but during peak season that’s to be expected. A hotel that reflects the rich history of Yellowstone.

When I complained about my room location. I was informed that because I used a third party reservation website, that that is where I got stuck. Had I used xantara, then I could have been in the main lodge. I didn't get any sleep all night because of the constant slamming of doors, stomping of feet above me and just the noisy guests. I would never recommend staying at the old faithful inn, and I will not stay there again.

Rooms are small. Sink is in the room not the bathroom. Everything else was great!!

What a beautiful place. The lodge was gorgeous with great views of old faithful. Nice visitor center and Dinner at the restaurant was delicious

A fun unique stay inside a national park. It enables you to spend more time exploring the geothermal features and beautiful surroundings while less crowded in the evening and early morning.

Room was very hot! That’s to be expected in July. Other than that 100% awesome!

I guess the lack of federal funding has affected our national parks. The staff is lovely, but the food quality was definitely lacking (though expensive!). In general, for the price, this property needs an overhaul. It’s a beautiful, historic hotel, but as an iconic international destination, it’s a bit embarrassing that foreigners see this place … and the park in general as an example of American pride. We can do better!

It was beautiful and so close to all the geysers but the food was not great and extremely expensive. One or two nights there is plenty.

We had a 6 days tour to grand teton and yellowstone NP. We stayed at 6 different resorts/lodge inside the park. I spent the most money for Old faithful Inn for one night stay (double the amount from other resort/lodges). I had kids with me. We thought this Inn will be awesome as the one night charge was huge. But unfortunately this stay was the worst. This Inn does not include breakfast, it does not even have wifi! We had to go to the other side of the road to the Old faithful snow lodge for wifi use. Why they charge so much money if they do not provide any basic utilities!! Total waste of money. Also the window screen was torn. it was hot that night. the room only had heater and we could not keep the window open!!

It was worth the amount we paid for the view!
