Best Western York Inn

The hotel is just a short drive from the coast and was a great stopping off point on our journey to northern Maine. The breakfast area got quite busy and seems fairly small for a hotel of this size. Breakfast consisted of some scrambled egg, breakfast potatoes but both of these were cold so I sadly threw these away, prepacked pastries, yogurt from a dispenser, a small selection of cereals and some fruit. We did find during our trip that both of the Best Western hotels that we stayed at use disposable cutlery, plates and cups, this is presumably to save on labour costs, however the lack of recycling of these items was rather surprising, especially from a brand such as Best Western whom I think need to make improvments in this area.

Clean rooms, decent price, okay breakfast, good location. Would stay again. Fine for a couple of nights.

Woman that checked us in was nice however the younger girl that works at check in during the night was very rude. Not welcoming at all, asked for more pillows because the bed was stiff as a rock and did not help my sciatica… I asked for 4 extra pillows to atleast help the issue with the stiff bed but she stated they don’t have any more pillows and gave us two. We were about to run out of toilet paper and they limited us to one extra roll. Stains on the bed and black mold in the ac.. Would not stay here again.

Very disappointed that the pool was indoors in a beach community. The pool area was very hot with no fresh air flow. This was not inviting. We would not use a pool in this environment.

This hotel gets the job done. It is clean and has the indoor pool that was well maintained. The free breakfast has gone down in quality over the years but is ok. They over charged us for our stay by about $322 and we had to wait a week to get our money back so that was disappointing. Parking is good, rooms are a good size. You are getting what you pay for so overall this hotel is decent.

Great stay! Loved the comfortable clean room, indoor pool, the breakfast, and nice staff.

The room was very clean. We didnt like the location of the room because it was in the basement. My husband did not like the decor of the room, but it is a matter of personal taste.

I have nothing to say except good things about this hotel. I had a nice relaxing stay and appreciated the cleanliness!

Property was clean and well maintained. Towels were soft and fluffy. All around great stay

One problem was a running toilet when we got there. Was addressed before sleep time. I fixed it myself! That was major to me.

Every morning the male housekeeper spent his time yelling at the female housekeepers. This was very unprofessional and embarrassing for those girls. No one deserves that treatment at work, especially in front of guests. Other than those things, it was a decent stay. Beds were comfortable, nice tv, breakfast was alright.

Everything was perfect and the hotel was close to the beach. Donna the front desk lady was super nice and the other lady in the afternoon I forgot to ask about her name was also super nice I recommend this place to everyone. Will be back again next year

The mattress was very poor quality and the pillows were small. The bed had a loud squeak as if it were broken somewhere. The fan on the AC was so loud we could not leave it on at night. The fan in the bathroom came on with the light. It was loud and did not seem to function, as the bathroom steamed up with showers.

Motel was full but quiet.

Clean, excellent service, great amenities. Large comfortable rooms.
