Engine X Research Participation
Incentive Program Terms & Conditions

1. Offer Summary

HotelEngine, Inc., d/b/a Engine ("Engine," "we," "us," or "our") from time to time offers eligible Engine X cardholders a limited-time incentive to participate in a research interview regarding the Engine X card product (each such incentive, an "Offer" and collectively, the “Program”). These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern all Offers under the Program.

The specific details of each active Offer, including the applicable audience, dates, research subject and reward, are set forth in the Active Research Offers schedule at the end of these Terms. By participating in any Offer, you agree to these Terms, which supplement and are subject to the Engine Terms of Service, Engine Privacy Policy, Engine X Card Program Terms and Engine X Reward Terms.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for any Offer under this Program you must meet all of the following general criteria, in addition to any Offer-specific criteria set forth in the applicable Offer listing:

• Approved Engine X Cardholder. You must have been approved for Engine X and have an assigned credit limit as of the date of your scheduled interview.
• Invitation Required. You must have received a direct invitation from Engine or an Engine Account Manager to participate in the research study. This Offer is not available to the general public and is not open to self-nomination.
• Authorized Representative. You must be an authorized representative of the Engine business account and have the authority to speak about the account's use of Engine X.
• Good Standing. The associated Engine account must remain open, active, and in good standing (no delinquency, no active Terms of Service violations, no fraud flags) at the time the interview is conducted and at the time points are credited.
• Not an Engine or Bank Partner Insider. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of employees or contractors of Engine or its card-issuing bank partner are not eligible.

Engine reserves the right to verify eligibility and to disqualify any participant who does not meet these criteria. Individual Offers may impose additional eligibility criteria.

3. Offer Period

Each Offer has its own start and end date, as specified in the applicable listing in the Active Research Offers schedule. An Offer runs until its stated end date, or until Engine concludes the corresponding research study, whichever occurs first. Interviews scheduled during an Offer Period, but not completed by the end of that Offer Period, do not qualify.

4. Limits

The following limits apply across the Program:

• Per participant, per study. Limit one (1) Incentive per individual participant per research study. A "research study" means a discrete research initiative listed as a separate Offer in the Active Research Offers schedule. Multiple sessions within the same study (follow-ups, longitudinal check-ins, clarification calls) count as one study.
• Per participant, rolling annual cap. A participant may receive up to four (4) Incentives in any rolling twelve (12) month period, provided each is for a separately scoped, qualifying research study.
• Per Engine X account, per study. Up to three (3) participants from a single Engine X account may receive an Incentive for the same research study. This allows Engine to gather multiple perspectives from a customer (e.g., finance admin, travel admin, primary cardholder).
• Incentives are non-transferable and may not be assigned, sold, or exchanged.

5. Qualifying Interview

5.1. What Counts

A qualifying interview is a research session that meets all of the following criteria:

• Scheduled and Confirmed. The interview must be scheduled through the process provided by Engine or your Engine Account Manager.
• Full Session Completed. You must attend the interview from the beginning through the wrap-up portion of the conversation. Sessions ended early at your request, or terminated by Engine due to abusive or bad-faith conduct, do not qualify.
• Consent Provided. You must provide the consents requested at the start of the session, including consent to audio and video recording and to the use of automated transcription tools, as applicable.
• Good-Faith Participation. You must respond to the interviewer's questions in good faith. You must engage substantively with the interview questions and research activities.

5.2. What Does Not Count

The following do not qualify for any Offer under the Program:

• No-shows, cancellations, or rescheduled sessions that are not ultimately completed within the Offer Period
• Sessions ended early before the wrap-up portion of the interview
• Sessions in which the participant declines to provide the consents required to conduct the session
• Interviews conducted with individuals who do not meet the eligibility criteria in Section 2

6. Voluntary Participation

Participation in any research study under the Program is entirely voluntary. You may decline to answer any question or end the interview at any time. If you end an interview before completion, you will not receive the Incentive.

7. Reward

The reward/incentive for each Offer is specified in the applicable listing in the Active Research Offers schedule. Rewards are issued in the form of Engine points redeemable through Engine’s platform.

The actual redemption value of points may vary. Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, or redeemed outside of Engine's travel platform. Redemption of points is governed by the Engine X Reward Terms.

8. Points Delivery

If you complete a qualifying interview, Engine will credit the applicable reward points to the associated Engine rewards account within thirty (30) days following the interview.

You will receive a notification (via email or in your Engine account) confirming that the points have been credited. Points will be visible in the Rewards section of your Engine account.

9. Use of Interview Content

Your participation in the interview is subject to the consents obtained at the start of the session. Interview recordings, transcripts, and notes are used for internal research purposes to improve Engine's products and services. Engine's collection and use of this information is governed by the Engine Privacy Policy.

10. Disqualification

Engine reserves the right to disqualify any participant and withhold or revoke points if Engine determines, in its sole discretion, that:

• The participant does not meet the eligibility criteria in Section 2 of the applicable Offer-specific criteria.
• The participant's associated Engine account is closed, suspended, or no longer in good standing at the time points are to be credited.
• The participant has engaged in fraudulent conduct, misrepresentation of identity or role, or other conduct designed to obtain the incentive without meeting the requirements of the applicable Offer.
• The participant has engaged in any activity that Engine determines, in its sole reasonable discretion, to be abusive, manipulative, or inconsistent with the spirit of the Program.

11. Modification and Termination

Engine reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program, any individual Offer, or these Terms, at any time and for any reason. Material changes will be posted to this page.
