The 12 Best MCP Servers for Booking Business Travel in 2026

Business traveler at an airport gate with a laptop and phone

Most travel MCP servers only search. We checked more than 60 in October 2026, and five can finish a business booking inside Claude or ChatGPT: Otto the Agent, Ramp, BizTrip AI, Travel Code and Vibe MCP. Otto books on the traveler's own card, and the other four book through your company's travel or spend account.

What is a travel MCP server?

A travel MCP server is a tool, built by a travel company, that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT search for and sometimes book trips. It runs on MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard Anthropic released in November 2024.

You add it to your assistant as a connector, sign in if it asks, and the assistant can call its tools, such as search_flights or book_hotel.

If the server has no booking tool, your assistant can only search.

How did we test them?

Our test trip was Denver to Austin, out Tuesday, October 20, back Thursday, October 22, with a hotel near the Austin Convention Center.

We sent it to Kiwi.com and trivago, the two public servers that need no account. The others need a sign-in or only answer Claude and ChatGPT, so we read their docs, tool lists and sign-in permissions.

Kiwi.com's MCP server returned 15 Denver to Austin round trips on October 5, 2026, priced in euros until we asked for dollars. Its nonstop round trips ran $139 to $342, none with a carry-on included. One of our three searches timed out.

trivago returned 25 hotels from $75 to $607 a night. It put three downtown Austin hotels about 468 miles from the city center.

Kiwi.com's three cheapest round trips took 10 to 12 hours to get home

Which MCP servers book business travel inside the chat?

Otto the Agent, Ramp, BizTrip AI, Travel Code and Vibe MCP book business travel inside Claude or ChatGPT as of October 5, 2026.

Otto

Otto the Agent's MCP server books flights and hotels inside Claude and ChatGPT after you confirm, with no checkout page. Otto calls itself a lightweight travel management company.

  • Cars: Otto says rental cars work through the connector, but its published tool list had no car tool on October 5.
  • Business controls: saved preferences and loyalty numbers. Otto's app lets executive assistants book for travelers they manage, but that tool isn't in its published MCP tool list. Otto doesn't do approvals yet.
  • Payment and rates: a card saved to the traveler's Otto account, at public rates in US dollars.
  • Limits: one traveler per flight booking.
  • Who can use it: anyone. Free for the first year, then $10 a month, per Otto.
  • Works in: Claude (listed in the connector directory), ChatGPT, Slack and Microsoft Teams.

Ramp

Ramp's MCP server books flights and hotels. Before it books, it shows the total, the policy result, the funding source and any approvals needed, then waits for your final confirm.

  • Covers: one-way and round-trip flights and single-hotel stays. Cancellations, where your company enables them, use the same confirm step.
  • Business controls: travel policy checked at search and again at booking, reasons for out-of-policy picks, approvals, company funds and booking for others.
  • Not supported in chat: changes, multi-city trips, group bookings, rental cars and airline credits. Changes go to the Ramp web app.
  • Who can use it: Ramp customers on Ramp Plus, which Ramp prices at $15 per user a month plus a platform fee.
  • Works in: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Perplexity.

BizTrip AI

BizTrip AI is a corporate travel agent that runs inside Claude and ChatGPT on Sabre content. Nothing is reserved until you click Purchase in the chat.

  • Covers: flight booking is documented, and BizTrip says hotels and rental cars work too.
  • Business controls: each option is labeled in policy, approval required or not bookable.
  • Limits: it books only for the signed-in traveler, and BizTrip doesn't publish how bookings are paid.
  • Who can use it: BizTrip customers. Pricing isn't public.
  • Works in: Claude as a custom connector and ChatGPT in developer mode.

Travel Code

Travel Code is a corporate travel platform. Its MCP server books flights and hotels in the chat, and the booking can go on a card, a prepaid company balance or an invoice.

  • Business controls: travel policy and employee tools for admins, plus duty-of-care alerts. Its MCP booking tool has no policy check or approval step, and we couldn't confirm whether Travel Code applies policy after the order goes in.
  • Changes: its tools can change dates, baggage and passport details on a booking.
  • Limits: employees can book only for themselves.
  • Who can use it: Travel Code customers. Its Starter plan is free.
  • Works in: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor and VS Code.

Vibe MCP

Vibe builds booking software for travel management companies (TMCs). Vibe says its MCP server lets those TMCs' clients book and pay for flights, rail and hotels in the chat. We couldn't check that against public documentation, because Vibe hasn't published any.

  • Business controls: each client's travel policy applies at search, and out-of-policy options still show up with a flag. Payment and reporting run through the TMC.
  • Who can use it: clients of TMCs that run on Vibe, such as ITG Business Travel and Identity Travel.
  • Works in: ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot.

Which MCP servers connect to your company travel account but can't book in the chat?

Perk

Perk's MCP server can't complete a booking inside Claude or ChatGPT. It searches flights, trains, hotels and cars, looks up your travel policy and files expenses, then hands you a checkout link to pay in Perk. Perk said on October 5, 2026, that the assistant "can't complete, pay for, change, or cancel a travel booking."

  • Business controls: policy lookup, trip approval links, expense submission and approval in the chat, and invoices.
  • Who can use it: all Perk customers.
  • Works in: Claude (listed as a Community connector), ChatGPT (full access on Business, Enterprise and Edu plans), Gemini CLI and Cursor.

Navan's MCP server is read-only as of October 5, 2026, so it can't book trips. It lets you ask Claude, Cursor and other tools about bookings, spend, policy and approvals in your Navan account, and Navan says write access is "coming soon."

  • Business controls: each user sees only what their Navan role allows, and every tool call is logged.
  • Who can use it: Navan customers.
  • Booking elsewhere: Navan's AI agent books trips inside Gemini Enterprise over Google's agent-to-agent protocol, a separate standard from MCP.

Which business travel connectors are still on the way?

Amex GBT's Egencia, BCD and FCM have announced business travel connectors for AI assistants. As of October 5, 2026, we couldn't confirm that any of them is available yet.

  • Egencia (Amex GBT): Amex GBT said in July that an Egencia connector for Claude would reach Egencia customers in the third quarter.
  • BCD: BCD announced an MCP framework for its Tripsource platform in May.
  • FCM: FCM says its MCP is "set to launch in the coming months."

SAP Concur has no MCP server. Its Joule assistant handles some travel tasks inside Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Which consumer travel connectors can you use for work trips?

Expedia, Booking.com, Kiwi.com, trivago and Gondola are free to connect and good for research. Except for Gondola, you finish the booking on the seller's own site, and none of them apply a travel policy or send an invoice.

Expedia

Expedia's connector searches flights and hotels for US travelers in Claude and ChatGPT, with no sign-in needed. Expedia's help page answers "Can I book through Claude?" with "Not yet," so you tap through to Expedia to book.

Booking.com

Booking.com's Claude connector has a single tool, a search for hotels and homes, and it needs no sign-in. It's also in ChatGPT. You book on Booking.com.

Kiwi.com

Kiwi.com's connector searches flights with flexible dates and returns a Kiwi.com booking link for every result. It works in Claude with no sign-in and in any app that supports MCP.

trivago

trivago compares hotel prices across booking sites in Claude and ChatGPT. Each result links to trivago, which sends you on to the site selling the rate.

Gondola

Gondola books hotels and flights inside ChatGPT on your own saved card, and it's built around points and loyalty rates. It also connects to Claude as a custom connector. It has no travel policy, approvals or company billing.

What should you check before connecting one?

Start with the tool list, because a connector with a tool like book_flight can spend money and one with only search tools can't. In Claude's directory on October 5, 2026, Otto listed book_flight, book_hotel and cancel_booking, and Expedia, Booking.com and Kiwi.com listed no booking tools.

  • Who pays? Otto and Gondola charge the traveler's own card, which means an expense report later. Ramp books on company funds, Travel Code can send an invoice, and Vibe says payment runs through the TMC.
  • Does it know your policy? Only connectors tied to your company's travel account do. If your policy isn't written down yet, start with a travel policy template.
  • Which rates does it book? Ask whether you get public rates or your business rates. Otto books at public rates.
  • Who helps when plans change? Changes and cancellations go to whoever issued the booking. Check how you reach them and whether the connector itself can change or cancel.
  • Will your travel team see the trip? Trips booked on a consumer site or a personal account never reach your company's travel account, so its reports and duty-of-care alerts miss them.
  • Who turns it on? On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner enables each connector, then each person signs in with their own account.
  • Does it ask before it buys? In Claude you can set each tool to Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked. Otto's and BizTrip AI's setup guides tell you to pick Always allow and rely on their own confirm step, so decide your company's setting before people connect.

One public server we tested sent formatting instructions with its results, telling the assistant to "follow them exactly." That was harmless, but anything a server sends goes straight to your assistant. Connect only servers from companies you'd trust with the booking.

Frequently Asked Questions About MCP Servers for Business Travel

Which MCP servers are best for business travel?

Ramp, BizTrip AI, Travel Code and Vibe book trips inside Claude and ChatGPT for their own customers, and Ramp, BizTrip AI and Vibe check your travel policy before you book. Otto books for anyone on the traveler's own card and has no approval workflow yet. Perk and Navan connect your company travel account to the chat but don't complete bookings there.

What is the best AI for booking travel?

Claude and ChatGPT can both book work trips once you add a connector that books in the chat. Google's AI Mode books US hotels in the chat with Google Pay, outside MCP.

Can Claude book flights and hotels?

Yes, Claude can book flights and hotels through Otto, Ramp, BizTrip AI, Travel Code and Vibe. Claude's Expedia, Booking.com and Kiwi.com connectors search and then send you to their sites to pay. Claude in Chrome, Anthropic's browser agent, is blocked from making purchases in every permission mode.

Can ChatGPT book flights and hotels?

Yes, ChatGPT can book flights and hotels through the Otto, Ramp, Travel Code and Vibe MCP apps as of October 2026. BizTrip AI works there in developer mode, and Gondola books personal trips on your own card. ChatGPT's Expedia and Booking.com apps search and then send you to their sites to pay.

Do travel MCP servers follow company travel policy?

Travel MCP servers follow company policy only when they're tied to your company's travel account. Ramp checks policy at search and again at booking, BizTrip AI labels every option, and Perk looks up your policy. Consumer connectors like Expedia and Kiwi.com don't know your policy.

Is it safe to book work travel through an AI assistant?

An AI assistant can book work travel safely when the connector comes from the company that holds your booking and its booking tools ask before they charge. Ramp's server, for one, shows a final preview and waits for you to confirm before it charges anything.

Can an AI assistant book travel for someone else?

Ramp's MCP server can book for other travelers. BizTrip AI books only for the signed-in traveler, and Travel Code employees can book only for themselves. Otto's executive-assistant booking isn't in its published MCP tool list as of October 5, 2026.

What happens if I need to change or cancel a trip?

It depends on who issued the booking. Otto can cancel in the chat, Ramp can cancel whole bookings where your company enables it and sends changes to its web app, and Travel Code's tools can change dates, baggage and passport details. Perk and the consumer connectors send changes back to their own sites.

Are travel MCP servers free?

Most consumer connectors are free to add. Otto is free for the first year, then $10 a month. Ramp's booking needs Ramp Plus, and the Perk, Navan, BizTrip AI and Travel Code connectors are for customers of those platforms.
