I use Holiday Inn Express and Suites whenever I travel between CA and NC twice each year. I really do not like leaving negative reviews, but Abilene is consistently higher priced than the other cities I stay in (Tucson and Tuscaloosa) and the hotel is never as clean and up to date. You deserve to know if you are planning a stay here.

The staff was great from the time we arrived to checkout. Breakfast was excellent. We were disappointed the pool was empty. It should be noted before booking. The room was nice, the shower was clean but could tell where they missed scrubbing the soap bar holders (there was hair). The tub also had a missing cover. The vent on the ceiling in the bathroom was missing and you could see dust build up. A few of the wall plugs did not work or were loose. Over all it was a nice quiet spot. $200 for a one night stay with an empty pool and two children was a little disappointing.

Staff is great, the property however is very poor. Multiple light bulbs were missing form the lights in my room. The TV was missing the remote and fully unplugged form the tv sources. The gym had a quarter of the options shown in the pictures. Would not stay again.

It was convenient off the interstate however, the room needed some maintenance. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall, there where cracks in the ceiling, the table was broken and the wires for the AC were exposed. If our party planned in staying longer than one night we would have moved to another hotel.

Booked a room months in advance for 2 queens….they only had a king with a sofa bed when we got there. Dead roach in the bathroom upon arrival. Most of the toiletries in the bathroom were empty. Room was super dusty and didn’t seem clean in general. Holes and scuffs in several areas on the walls. 2 towels in the room despite us clearly having 3 people. Everything seemed old and not updated.

The room was clean but definitely could use some updating. The second day we came down for breakfast over 20 minutes before it was supposed to be over and there was literally nothing left.

The staff was terrible. Got triple charged for a room that the toilet and tv was broke. Worst hotel I stayed at in a long time!!!!!
