Best Western Plus Alexandria / Fort Belvoir

Stacey checked us in and he was a true gem!!! Breakfast was good, many options. For us not enough pressure in shower. Not sure if it was a fluke but when we came out morning of check out someone had there front passenger window smashed out. We didn’t leave valuables in the car so my guess is that person had.

The facilities looked and smelled clean.

Booking was incorrect at arrival. First room had broken items. second room the door lock was falling off. third room had wires sticking out of the wall. Hotel was under renovation. no warning this was happening. will never use a best western again.

It was further than we expected from Downtown DC. Restaurants were not close unless you can eat Mexican food. We were only there for a few days and ended up going to a French Restaurant in D.C. because the staff recommended it as a good “Italian” restaurant.’m me.

Nothing! Everything from booking to the customer service of the hotel staff, rooms are not what they look like online!

The staff was very welcoming and attentive. I could tell the bathroom was newly renovated. The price for the stay was pretty fair. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low so I had to stand right under the shower head. I reserved a king room, but the hotel didn’t have and king size pillows, they didn’t even have standard size pillows. The only pillows available were small decorative sized square pillows. There was also loud construction happening on the hotel.

Very old property, with extremely rude front desk personnel. One of the elevators did not work. My reservation was confirmed by Orbitz but when I checked in at 10 PM they said they were sold out and that my reservation was not there. Magically, after Orbitz tried to contact them they made one room available but only if I first cancelled with Orbitz and then booked and payed directly with them. Ice machine broken too.

I won't stay there again, The fridge in the room never worked, and the bottom sheets on the King bed did not fit (and I informed the front desk the first morning about both of these issues - nothing changed). I never could get ice out of the ice machine on the 3rd floor, the carpet in our room was damp, and one elevator was not working (out of 2 elevators). Also, the carpet in the halls had large stains. I'll go back to this area, but I'll stay somewhere else next time.
