Stay APT Suites Alexandria-Fort Belvoir

The bed was surprisingly comfortable. In fact, I slept better here than I do in my own bed at home! The only downside was one of the older housekeeping staff members. Every time I asked for fresh towels or other room amenities, such as toilet paper or dishwasher detergent, she seemed irritated and acted like it was an inconvenience. After a couple of interactions, I simply started asking another housekeeper, who was incredibly friendly and happy to help with anything I needed. Hopefully, management can encourage and work with that housekeeper by showing her some good customer service skills :-) Other than that, the management was absolutely outstanding, about as friendly and accommodating as you'll find at any hotel! They truly made us feel welcome. Thank you for an amazing stay. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we're in town!

​The Highlights: ​Pet-Friendly: It was great to find a place that truly welcomes dogs. We followed the property guidelines to keep him in the back area away from the courtyard. Free parking. That's rare. Quiet and safe area. ​Accommodations: Our 2-queen suite was nice, and our dog enjoyed the cool AC during the hot weather. ​Staff: The staff we encountered were friendly and nice. ​Areas for Improvement: ​Check-in Logistics: We experienced a significant delay at check-in. While check-in is scheduled for 3:00 PM, we had to wait until 4:15 PM because the digital key and online systems were not working. ​Access Issues: It was quite inconvenient to follow the pet rules while also dealing with access issues. Because both our physical key card and the digital key only worked at the front entrance, we were forced to walk all the way around to the front every time we took our dog out, despite our room and parking being located in the back. ​Final Verdict: This is a great concept and a very convenient place to stay with a dog, but the experience could be improved significantly by fixing the check-in and rear-entry access issues. We would stay here again, but hope for a smoother process next time.

The rooms were very nice and very clean. Several customers were supposed to be able to check in at 3:00 and it was a little past 3:30 and during that time, could not get in touch with anyone inside the hotel for an explanation.

The room was great

The water pressure in the kitchen sink was terrible. Meanwhile the shower pressure was way too hard with not much you could do to change the pressure. Staff also had to be called to be present at check-in at 3pm.

Very nice place to stay. Room was clean well maintained. Home away from home atmosphere. At night. Very quiet and relaxing.

Plenty of park in convenient area

The staff there was on point. I arrived late the office had closed but the young lady in charged this weekend answered the phone e right away. Got me checked into my room in 2 min

It was clean, Janel (who checked us in) was sweet and helpful, free parking, secure, apartment well stocked with dishes, full sized refrigerator, big screen TVs… very nice stay. We would stay again. The blind in the bedroom did not raise. The blind in the living room worked fine but the bedroom one didn’t, so we had to use the electric lights instead of letting natural light in when in the bedroom.

Wonderful stay with everything we needed

Lacanas went out of her way to call and make sure we were all set for check-in, before we even arrived. Janel was helpful at the desk. Room was clean and modern. Would recommend and return!

Excellent location

Location for our purposes. Staff was great, met us after hours for check in. Liked the variety of television channels. It’s time for a refresh and intense check out of each room. Our toilet seat was very wobbly and needs replacing. Light by bedside needed new bulb. Many paint scrapes throughout apartment.

No ice machine, No wifi, very noisy

Seems to be a lack of staff, every time I went to the office no one was available. Lack of basic amenities in the entrance and throughout the property e.g. trash cans etc.

Besides that everything else was good.

It was like having a piece of home. They way other tenants treat it as if no one else has to use it after them causing damage and extra work for staff. A general lack of respect.

Clean room at a good location. Whole property is very clean. A better reading light in bed is needed.
