Holiday Inn Express Allentown North by IHG

Good, convenient location. Quiet area with conveniences nearby. Comfortable room. I got a bit of an attitude from the desk clerk when checking in because I could not hear her well and told her so. Just not very good customer service when you sneer at your customer.

Easy to find, plenty of well lit parking, safe area. The hotel is very nice, large comfortable room, good shower pressure, fairly comfortable bed. If checkin had been more efficient a timely, this would be 4.5 stars (for the price point). Good value overall

The bath area was cramped.

We did not set the alarm on the clock before bed since we were hoping to sleep in for the next leg of our journey the following day. However, our 'clock alarm' went off at supposedly 6 am, but we were awakened by the alarm which, according to my phone, was 2 am. We tried to turn it off, but the on/off button didn't work. Being still half asleep, I attempted to find the outlet, but to no avail. We pressed the snooze button, but it did not solve the problem. Finally, I had to call the reception desk and told her the situation and asked her to come up. She did, but the on/off button was not working, and she eventually got on her hands and knees to find the outlet and yank out the cord. She was very nice and took the clock out of our room. Next morning, I asked the desk clerk and the manager (who were pleasant) to refund our payment. The manager said he could, but it would be troublesome and lengthy for me to get a refund. He said he would give me points to use on another room in the future at any Holiday Inn. He did, but unfortunately, only 5000 points were added to our account. That amount isn't enough to use on another hotel stay so I am quite dissatisfied.

Clean room, facilities good. Had no soap, shampoo or conditioner but front desk and housekeeping staff quick to take care of the issue.

My husband and I were glad we selected this place. It was very well maintained. The comfort of the bed and blankets lol amazing! Nice pool (although we didn’t use it). Would recommend.

Very clean overall. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. It was peaceful, the pool was great, breakfast was good. I got a lot of work done without being disturbed. Close to shopping, food and the highway.
