Location is perfect. Walking distance to Shipwreck Museum, small center of river park, restaurants, and the downtown shops. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices. The coffee machine is spectacular! Fresh ground, freshly made cups of coffee! Whenever you want. Rooms are clean and well maintained.

The room smells like stinky feet! There was an elephant staying in the room above us (119).

It enjoyed the location as there was a bike trail by the river in the back to use. It was close to downtown to walk to places to eat and explore.

The staff were extremely helpful answering questions and making suggestions about things to see in the area and restaurants

We were charged an additional $5 at check in for amenities. Not a big deal but…there was no breakfast food at 9:40am and the gal was mopping the breakfast area closing it up and was rude when I asked if more food would be brought out. If you are going to start to charge additional for your amenities, at least have them available. Not cool Holiday Inn. Not cool.

Location was nice, access to Alpena’s multi-use pathways and a close walk to downtown shops and restaurants. The Parking Lot was Icy!

Room was very clean and staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was not as good as I've had in other IHG sites. The location is exceptional. You can get to anywhere in Alpena in a few minutes and you can wall to shops, cinema, and restaurants in a few minutes as well.

Everything was great, clean room, polite staff and the breakfast had a good selection of food for me, my wife and my kids. I also appreciate the fresh ground coffee machine available at all times.

Hotels.com tells me I can receive one from the Hotel when I check out and when I try to do that, Holiday Inn tells me I can only get a receipt from Hotels.com because that is who I booked through. It is always a hassle and I am going to start searching other hotels and booking sites from here on out. These are business trips and I need the receipts to be reimbursed and I don't have time to deal with the hassle.

The room was large enough for four people to move around comfortably The building across the river is in sad shape and definitely ruins the view.
