Embassy Suites By Hilton Alpharetta Halcyon

Huge shout out to Curtis and especially Bryce for being exceptional in helping with my bags. I'm 100% VA disabled and have a disabled toddler, and they were so understanding. Same with Sharon at the front desk. Very accomodating. Food was delicious at the bar, l loved the drink tickets, and breakfast was incredible. Will never stay at another brand hotel again.

Exceptional

They force you to pay for parking and claim that the parking garage is independent from the property, which it is not additionally if you are staying and paying you park anywhere, but the fourth floor they will fix a sticker to your vehicle, which in my case has resulted in damage to my vehicle. They claim security did it, but it is clearly the hotel with their emblem on the sticker. Also, the controls for the shower are on the same side as the head which cannot be accessed unless you are completely in the shower getting flooded with non-ideal temperature water. The staff did not seem to care about the vandalism to my vehicle. Additionally, their breakfast was lacking whatever they are calling that Patty sausage, it is anything but edible. As a Hilton Honors member, I am not impressed with this particular facility. They did not offer to try and remove the sticker and or any remaining residue from my vehicle, if they were trying to notify me to park on another floor that could have easily been done with a flyer, also additionally, my vehicle was registered via the tag and the number they could have called me. They did none of those things.

For my first time at this establishment the Staff and room was amazing.. it’s quiet and tucked away.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great perks, great location, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We had a great stay here for the weekend and will definitely be back!

The King Suite we had was the largest room on the property and THAT in itself was the ONLY highlight except for the older Black woman that checked us out on Monday the 7th of September. The is NO PARKING on the property so, parking was $27 a day for valet and $20 a day for self parking. This is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD. This was NOT downtown Atlanta. This was in the SUBURBS OF FORSYTH COUNTY GA!!! We stay EXCLUSIVELY at Embassy Suites for all the benefits that come with this hotel. The GREAT (not in this case, I’ll speak on that in a moment) breakfast, the GREAT (not in this case and again, will speak on that again) Managers Reception drinks and snacks, the free parking and quality accommodations. Now, the breakfast… The grits were COLD. Not lukewarm, COLD. They had ONE Sterno heating source under the large pot of cold grits. The grits SHOULD come out of the kitchen HOT, and kept HOT by the heating element. They were not. Also, several guests asked for “eggs your way” and were told by the line cooks on staff that if they want scrambled eggs, they could get the ones from the pan and not cooked fresh. What’s the point of having a song that says “eggs to order, your way” if one can’t get them “your way?” There was MINIMAL cut fruit and it wasn’t served each day of our 3 day stay. Also, we were told that they ONLY serve grits on the weekend. WHAT?! This is The SOUTH!!! We don’t want oatmeal during the week. We want grits EVERYDAY!!! Making grits is just as easy as making oatmeal so, why not grits during the week?! Then the waffles… They had TEO waffle machines behind the line. One for small waffles and one for large waffles. They CONSTANTLY and CONSISTENTLY made the smaller ones. One had to actually ask for the larger waffles. They were doing the LITERAL LEAST AMOUNT OF WORK for guests as possible. The customer service was only good by the older Black ladies that were buzzing the tables. They were VERY SWEET and customer service oriented. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT WHAT I EXPECTED WHEN I BOOKED THIS ROOM AT THIS HOTEL. Overall, NOT IMPRESSED and will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. EVER.

The property was great for our family. The suite gave us enough room to spread out and have our dog with us. I was especially thankful for the laundry facilities on our floor…a necessity for our travel soccer tournament. Great restaurants and amenities near by and the hotel lobby was great for a drink and the family to hang out.

Great breakfast, clean rooms, and great staff

When I checked in, the receptionist was not welcoming or professional. They were eating and using a toothpick at the reception, which was quite surprising and gave a poor first impression. The room itself was clean, but there were several issues that I would not expect from a 4-star hotel: The ironing board was extremely small and incomplete. It was difficult to even place it properly on the floor, and I had to iron my shirt in very small sections. The door stopper/preventer was loose and not securely fitted. There were no complimentary water bottles in the room. Sink drain was very slow. The gym had very limited equipment and options for a hotel advertised as 4-star. The swimming pool had an unpleasant smell. Overall, while the room was clean, the facilities, service, and overall experience did not meet what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. I would personally rate this hotel closer to 3 stars.

We will definitely be staying again!

Location, facilities, and staff; special thanks to the valet parking staff (as they were on time on target)!!!! Did not like that self parking was so far away; Did not like the fact that upon arrival and after 830pm that the bar was not open for business, thus after our event attendance, and that breakfast on Saturday/Sunday mornings was not open until after 730am
