Baymont by Wyndham Chicago/Alsip

First I just want to say this is the absolute worst hotel the night staff employees is horrible and shouldn't have a job hes rude lied and relaided misinformation and was making my check in extremely difficult I was threatee to have the poli c e called on me for absolutely no reason when I was never disrespectful I was just frustrated and no happy with the service but to threat the cops over me doing nothing illegal is absolutely absurd second to say that I should just cancel and go somewhere else rather than just help me out is absurd to but its ok Hilton hotel is way better and much cleaner than that dump when I arrived their was trash on tables and it smelled like weed so not much of a upkept property

Room had a heavy perfumed smell, found "air freshener" behind the fridge but unplugging didn't help. Couldn't open windows since they were bolted shut. Also got a room facing very busy road with loud surface and trucks and semis accelerating from an intersection.

I stayed at the hotel from 9/26/26 until the morning of 10/01/26. I’m visiting my mother and contemplating a relocation back to my home state. Front desk attendants Vicki and Leslie, as well as General Manager Viviana Dominguez, lied about a Baymont policy in order to prevent me from staying longer than 5 days at the hotel. Notice of a 5-day continuous stay limit was no where to be found on the Wyndham website, on any third-party website, nor was it posted at the property. In fact, BookStayGo.com (https://baymont-wyndham-chicago-alsip.bookstaygo.com/extended-stays) describes the hotel as readily accommodating stays 14-days or longer. All three women stated the policy was based on a municipal (Alsip, IL) ordinance; no such ordinance exists. They doubled down on this lie all the way until a representative from the Mayor’s office (Becky) called the hotel. She told them to stop referencing the Village of Alsip in their reasoning for denials of stays longer than 5-days. I did not receive an apology for their despicable behavior.

The property itself is old. So all areas have a lingering smell of smoke. The carpet is old and stained. And aside from that, it was great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The bed was comfortable, but the room and the hotel have a faded and outdated feel, not real clean, in need of a refresh. The breakfast was okay, not great. My room had a sofa with a slip cover on it that looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The carpeting was worn and a bit dirty. I definitely would not stay here again.

It was clean I didn't have hot water all morning so we booked the Jacuzzi suite for that very purpose.

Room was clean, but carpet was dated. The bed was difficult to get on to because it was so high. I loved the walk-in shower and the location. The biscuits in the morning were great.

Front desk staff helpful. Facilities look old and worn. Furniture had scratches. Shower pressure extremely low! Breakfast mediocre. The whole place can use a good refurbishing!

The check in was fine. The room was in desperate need of maintenance. Carpet was filthy and ragged going into bathroom. There was a mat in the shower that was slimy. Tv did not work. Bed was fine. I was glad we were just using it to sleep after a concert. Breakfast was blah. Bacon was not stocked and the muffin was oozing from the bottom. The staff tried to fix the TV but couldn't. Location was convenient to Tinley Park music venue. The employees were nice but the owners need to do some upgrades to the facility.
