DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Alsip

The lobby was clean and inviting, and parking was free, spacious, and conveniently wrapped around the building, allowing easy access near our room. I understand this is a three‑star hotel and don’t expect luxury amenities, but I do expect a clean room and a property free of strong odors. Unfortunately, the second floor had a strong chemical smell as soon as I stepped off the elevator, which was concerning. Inside the room, the décor was dated and the carpet needed a better vacuum. The biggest issue was the bathroom. It clearly needed a deep cleaning, with visible dust, dirt buildup, and even signs of mold. When a shower doesn’t look or feel clean, it’s hard to feel refreshed afterward. Overall, the staff and lobby were excellent, but the cleanliness issues in the hallway and bathroom impacted my stay. With improved housekeeping, this hotel could offer a much more comfortable experience.

Friendly staff, good food and service.

The building is old, our hallway was lined with dirty dishes, used towels and bags of trash that were still there at check-out. A/C was broken but no other room to move us to. Pool and fitness room closed for maintenance.

Stay was perfect and really enjoyable.

•Pool was closed which was a huge bummer •wallpaper peeling off the walls •a large singular bed bug was found in our room, the staff moved us immediately to a new room with no issues •new room was clean and bug free. •Breakfast was overpriced so we did not eat there. Lots of options for food down the road. •Work out room was perfect with lots of weights/treadmills/ect. •Outdoor areas were nice with lots of outdoor seating •They offer delicious cookies at all hours. Unfortunately I will never stay here again.

Good location with a strip like 5 minutes away with a bunch of retail, restaurants, etc. Clean rooms and facilities. Amenities are not bad just everything requires an up charge (water in rooms etc.) so something to be aware of.

The staff member was very personable and friendly when we arrived. She offered us those amazing cookies too! The room was clean and attractive.

We booked this hotel because of the location to Midway and the free shuttle as well as the pool. The location is about 30 minutes from the airport and the shuttle was great. The hotel itself is just okay- needs updating and there is nothing nearby. The pool was not available which is always disappointing when traveling with kids. This really should be better advertised.

Hotel stay here is usually pretty good. Pool was out of order, fitness center down and closed without warning. Location was convenient. But time to upgrade the beds. Not typical Hilton quality I’m used to.

Quite, undisturbed, good night sleep due comfortable bed and nice pillows.

I would definitely stay there again when I am in the area which will be quite often since my son will be going to school at Columbia.

Double Tree never disappoints, room and hotel were clean Staff were helpful I would recommend this place

Property was nice and clean, staff was exceptional!!

Hotel is VERY tired and needs a complete overhaul.

We checked in around 3pm money was immediately taken out from my account . We stayed for 1 night immediately we checked out in the morning we received another notification money was taken out again we quickly went to the reception and showed proof of payment charged X2 $450 they were not helpful instead they informed us to call the bank which we did. The bank confirmed that the Hotel took payment X2 they have to refund our money or we should file a dispute. Waited 1 week no payment came we filled a dispute. This is a disappointment

The room was clean but some how after we entered the room we all started sneezing also there was water getting colkected in bath tub when u took bath... breakfast was ok not much vegeterian options available but good for non veg.
