Despite the name, Ingra is a hostel or motel, not a hotel! First, this is Not the right place for those w/mobility issues. There are many steps and no elevator. If to that you add suitcases, well good luck getting to the 2nd or whatever floor you’re on. Second, they say they clean the bathrooms frequently. Maybe so, but there are many people who use them and plenty time to get them nasty. Then it’s the issue of timing. When you got to go, you got to go, but in the morning when the bathrooms get busy you may need to wait for a while. Third, the rooms are smugly (small+ugly), not so clean, and the beds/mattresses are bad. The staff are mildly nice, but it’s obvious they are doing a job they find menial and with which they are not happy at all. Last, the area north of the place isn’t so safe. Oh, did l mention is next door to a busy airport? I guess Ingra offers a bargain in the very expensive Alaska market but as in all cases, you get what you paid for. I’d say skip Ingra for a nicer place, or skip Alaska altogether. Your buck will go far-far farther in pretty much anywhere else and you get to have a good night’s sleep, do your business in your own bathroom on your own time, and (oh my) actually enjoy your stay…

One decent bathroom on the floor and one nasty one. Rooms are super small, carpet is rough on the second floor.

If you’re like me, just need a warm comfortable place for a night and then be on your way. At a lower cost than most Motels in Anchorage then they are a good choice.

Very quiet comfortable bedroom and nearby to downtown and friendly staff Overall experience is good

Incredible staff very helpful.

Friendly check in! Not luxury level but met all of my needs. Rooms and bathrooms were clean!

Yes, it’s shared bathroom and kitchen. Rooms are not anything fancy but they get the job done. If you’re on a budget and only in Anchorage for a short time I can’t recommend it enough. Be aware, Anchorage has some characters . But the owners do a good job of scaring them off. Everything is kept very clean. I felt safe the whole time. I do wish there was separate bathroom for men and women. But that’s about it.

Great place for an overnight stay to catch the train to go to the Cruise ship
-
Its a good place for a quick rest if your coming in on late flights and only need 6 hrs of sleep. Clean and quiet. Secure.

The staff were excellent. They were friendly, nice, and very welcoming! They offered help when asked. They even offered bear spray and bug spray for our hike because we did not know we actually needed it. Great people. Great experience.

The property met all expectations. Not used to shared bathrooms but I knew that going in. For Anchorage during this time of year it was reasonably priced.

Don't let the shared bathrooms deter you from staying here. They are very large and nice bathrooms and there are two per floor. Bed was comfortable and the saff was very friendly and helpful. Great experience. Parking was nice and easy to find.

If I had to stay anywhere in Anchorage as a last minute like I did, anywhere including Vans dive bar would be better
