Aspen Suites Hotel Anchorage Downtown

Clean room , very helpful staff, bed was comfy!

We stayed at Aspen Suites at the beginning and end of our Alaska trip. We appreciated the cleanliness of the room as well as the in-room kitchenette. We would definitely book again if in the Anchorage area.

During our four-night stay, not once was our room cleaned. The bed was never made, the trash was never emptied, and the towels were never replaced unless we personally tracked down the housekeeping staff and asked them to do it. To make matters worse, during the last two days we couldn’t find a single housekeeping employee anywhere in the hotel, so we had to go to the front desk just to get a fresh set of towels ourselves. Considering the price we paid, this level of service is completely unacceptable. A hotel may have updated rooms, but without basic housekeeping it simply doesn’t provide the experience guests are paying for. What makes this even more disappointing is that I redeemed my Expedia points for this stay. I deeply regret using my hard-earned rewards on such a poor experience. I expected much better. I cannot recommend this hotel if you’re planning to stay for several days and expect the standard hotel service that should come with the room rate.

Cleaning products were left in the bathroom. We were a party of 3 guests- the fold out lounge was not made up and we had to request sheets pillows etc at 10pm at night and make it up ourselves. When our room was made up the next morning, tea and coffee was not topped up, body wash in the shower was not topped up and they only left 2 fresh towels. A bit more attention to detail by management and staff would make this a great place to stay.

It was a quick stop for us, but worked rose just perfectly before our cruise. Thank you so much.

The room was clean and had everything we needed, but the carpets in the elevator and hallways were not clean. Some of the staff were nice but very inexperienced. In the mornings be sure not to wake them up! Aside from that the girl that was preparing the breakfast was very kind and the gentleman who runs the bar (separate business) was the best! Coffee did not arrive in the loby until around 6:30 or 7:00 am and the breakfast was $15 for cereal, pastries, bagels, juice and something hot. Not sure what it was. The location is very walkable to downtown with all that you want and need about a 15 to 20 minute walk, sometimes not in the best of neighborhoods. If you are looking for grocery or drug store, that is an Uber ride.

Clean, friendly and good location easy walk to coastal walkway and downtown- enjoyed our stay!

When we arrived in our room, for some reason, it had an odd smell as we aired it out didn’t go away.. we think it might’ve been from the pan underneath the cabinet that had some leftover food in it that was never cleaned by room service… even after we told them about, it was not cleaned as said would be done, a lot of noise also from the streets surrounding property not expected.

Hotel was nice, and relatively close to the downtown area. Airport shuttle service is my only reccomendation.

Too many lights, not enough mirrors. Shower was fine and location was a bit off but close enough if you like to walk. Staff was very nice. On the first floor you kept hearing a door slam.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

The only downside was that our room overlooked the car park. Unfortunately, groups of people gathered there late into the evening and into the early hours of the morning, talking, laughing and yelling, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. If you're staying here, I'd recommend requesting a room that doesn't face the car park. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and we'd happily stay again if we could get a quieter room.

Stuff let us in early and gave us larger room instead what we booked.

Easy walk to the convention center to catch the bus to Seward.

After reaching the room was too hot and AC was not working at all. Even opening the window did not cool down the room enough to have a sound sleep. There was no one in the reception to address the concern.

The place was well maintained and the staff was very friendly. Very accommodating. We felt very comfortable there.
