Wyndham Garden Ankeny/Des Moines

We dropped something behind the dresser and when we pulled it out, it was really dirty. The wall of the show had dark spots in the grout -- thinking it might be mold. The person who was at the desk when we got there charged our credit card $101.00, even though we had paid through Hotels.com. The beds were good and the breakfast was delicious - getting to eat at the Ankeny Diner for the breakfast was great.

not one thing the manager is a joke doesn’t take in to consideration of his housekeeping not cleaning the rooms correctly (coming from a housekeeper) switched me to 3 different rooms all dirty then refused to give me a refund because my 6 year old was in the pool for the first 20 minutes we were there (water was to cold for the rest of us) said since we used the pool right when we checked in that he couldn’t give a refund for the crappy hotel he’s running everything

Back window was dirty and full of debris. Front window faces the indoor pool. A new toilet was installed but it interferes with the bathroom door, which will only open 45 degrees! Bathroom counter was drilled for a 3 hole fixture but only a 1 hole fixture was installed. The soap dish hides the holes! Very classy - NOT!!! Also way overpriced. A general disappointment. Never going back.

Very run down. And, had foul odor.

The breakfast was decent. The room was filthy, the floor was sticky and black in the corners. The smell was horrible and I had to go buy air freshener to aid in masking the smell. I also had to go buy toilet paper as the front desk didn't answer when u called.

pillows were comfortable Bed was NOT clean, found stains and hair that was not mine in the bed before getting in. Had to get all new sheets just to feel ok sleeping in the bed. The hotel halls are not clean and other guests were VERY loud the entire night.

Very poor

We had 6 people on our reservation and we were only offered one key, I had to push to get more. Our room was stocked with only two bath towels and no washcloths, except for one that was hanging up in the bathroom and already dirty. The floor was also a bit sticky. Another minor thing was there is not an elevator. We had packed a few heavy boxes anticipating there would be elevator access.

Water was coming from the base of the toilet once flushed - water in floor coming from room next door. Dirty water coming from tub drain. This was found when we woke up in the morning. The air was damp while sleeping. The coffee in lobby didn’t have cream available. Told the front desk about the room. They apologized for the inconvenience. That was it ! We spent money on this !

The hotel lobby was clean and bright, the desk people were friendly and proficient, the room had a distinct odor like dirty carpets, we only stayed one night so it met our needs at the time, probably wouldn't stay there again.

The beds were great. But, it was the worst Wyndham I have ever stayed at. Will not stay here in the future.

No towels at the pool. had to go ask for them and then it was a small pretty useless one. AC was great and the beds were very good. Not worth $200 a night. Several other hotels are in the neighborhood go stay there. I have ever stayed in many Wyndham hotels this is at the bottom of them. I will not stay here in the future.

Very friendly staff, clean room and pool. Excellent price.

Breakfast in the diner was a good experience. Good coffee.
