Ann Arbor Regent Hotel & Suites

There was no power. We could not even check in. Hotel failed to notify us of power failure so we could make different or alternate sleeping accommodations. Worst booking ever

The room was clean and so were the public areas, however, they seemed to have an issue with carpet mites (I double checked what they were). I left them a note as that likely is more a management issue more than cleaning issue. They did get on the bed, though, but were easy to push off. The serving area for the food was tiny so you were squished in with people you didn't know in an extremely small space.

It started off lovely, the room we got was updated and even had nice vinyl floors, no gross carpet. Then half of the power went out and we had to move rooms. Only suite they had (same type of room) was on the second floor, and I’m ADA and stairs are hard for me. We get into the room, half the lights work, outlets don’t work, tv doesn’t work, the room also looks like it came straight out of the 70s. Nasty carpet and just not clean looking room. The pool was filthy, hot tub was cloudy, and the ground was insanely slippery. Second day, there was no breakfast offered either. I understand that they don’t control the weather, but this trip was absolutely miserable and I’m so disappointed how everything is being handled.

The owner is really helpful and considerate. You can tell they are updating as they're newer owners but everything was clean and worked in the room. Unfortunately the pool wasn't working but that wasn't what we came to do anyway. Would definitely come back.

The attendants were very efficient. The designated breakfast area is quite small & difficult to maneuver. The tub would be much safer with grabbers & non skid surfaces. Better yet remove tube & have walk in shower.

The place is amazing to stay with a family . Very pleasant

Wifi was poor in our room area and they wouldn't do anything about it. Pool is small and always busy. Coffee and water frequently out or refills. Pull up bed was so uncomfortable. Staff refused to give us a room with double queen beds because we booked it from Expedia.

The atmosphere of the place is very old-fashioned. The pool and game room is very unique. The A/C wasn’t blowing all the way in the room, but still the room was cool at night.

Location and cleaniness

Our stay was very nice, the hotel is nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. The only thing that I would say is that they need to add some pastries to the breakfast menu,

Loved the indoor pool area and game room. Location was in perfect proximity to UMich. Beautiful landscaping. Nice proximity to family restaurants. The value for my family was good. Hotel had a dated interior and mattress was tired.

Really enjoyed everything. Just needed a place to lay my head. Left feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of my vacation.

Great hotel

Very nice rooms and amenities in the rooms! Breakfast is good, however that area is very small and crowded. It has a gym, but was very surprised to find that they allow people to eat there so we didn’t feel comfortable to use it. Game room is very nice.
