Quality Inn & Suites Ann Arbor Hwy 23

I booked this hotel months ago for a football game. The property was horrible. There was a bag tied over the smoke detector, there was no shower curtain, our friends found a knife (yes - a knife) under the mattress. My socks were dirty just from walking on the carpet in the room. We received calls asking us if we wanted to party at 1:30 am. The staff did deliver a shower curtain and remove the bag from the smoke detector pretty quickly. However, if there had been another option we would have requested a refund and left. Unfortunately, we were there during a Michigan Football game and everything was booked out throughout the Ann Arbor area.

You get what you pay for. I believe they were in the process of remodeling. Our room was very dirty, smells in the hallway constantly, old beaten up furniture. Total bust.

Our room was not just damp - it was literally wet. We entered the room via the bathroom, which I've never experienced before. There was food still in the mini fridge. The TV was broken. The bathroom was somehow too wet, moldy, AND dusty. Furniture was blocking a fire exit door. Lights didn't all work and the lamps by the beds were just missing bulbs entirely. The floor was so inherently wet that I actually slipped and fell - ironic as we stayed there so I could get hip surgery the next day. We booked two nights and had to leave early because it felt downright dangerous to stay. Despite great assurance from the staff on this app that they would help me, my refund for the unused night was refused - because the hotel also is just not responding to being contacted so they then won't approve anything. Technically breakfast was offered.. but it was also not what was suggested either online or in person. It also frankly did not feel safe enough to even try to eat and we ended up getting fast food instead. This is the first hotel stay in my entire life I've ever requested a refund on. It's a shame because nothing from this experience tells me the hotel itself even cares about feedback.

No amenities in the lobby like coffee or water. Breakfast was only cold cereal, old bananas, packaged rolls and microwave sandwiches. Coffee and juice - fair. Not the breakfast I would expect fron a nice hotel. Won't be back.

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst places we have stayed. The room was dirty, carpet was dirty, had a horrible smell, and the sheets had animal hair on them. We stayed in the room for about 10 minutes after checking, and that was only to book another hotel.

This being said, I booked the room for Quality Inn, when I got there, it was in the process of becoming an Econo Lodge, which added to the confusion. Some bugs need to be worked out.

Our non-smoking rooms smelled of pot and cigarettes. The carpets were filthy. Trash in the hallway and left-over trash from previous guests in our rooms. The bed looked like a hammock. The bedside chair upholstery was slashed. Unhelpful staff. Stayed 20 minutes and left as fast as we could. Skip this place!!!!

Please spend the extra money and go some place else. The pictures on the website are deceiving.

Price, location and room was great!

As soon as you entered into the Hotel, the whole building smelled like smoke. My daughter is very allergic to smoke and the hotel staff canceled our stay. I paid extra

Property needs complete renovation and new management.

We booked this hotel mainly from the pictures online. It was the worst hotel I have ever been to. We checked in and was greeted by a strong marijuana smell. The carpet and walls were in rough shape. When we tried to get in our room the door would not open even with full body weight pushing. Went back to the desk and asked for a refund since we were not comfortable staying here. Would never book again and so glad we left before even seeing the room. Felt very dirty and sketchy

Had people knocking on my door at 5am. No security. Smells pretty bad. Limited housekeeping. Pretty sure there's a fake wifi ssid and no password protection so don't use that.

The bathroom was not very clean at all

We did not utilize the breakfast as the food area was uninviting (dingy and food looked questionable to consume). We would not recommend anything about this hotel.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Doesn't appear many updates have taken place since the 90s. Not a bad place to stay for the night after a Michigan game if you don't feel like driving home.

Lots of repairs to walls. Broken loose bathroom tiles. Torn carpet.

The room wasn’t that clean I was finding stuff in the corners and under the bed but it wasn’t that bad the staff service listen here that girl at the front desk is my FAVORITE. When I needed help she rushed to help me omg amazing the pool was nice & the gym was closed all the time so I didn’t get to go in there
