Lantern Lodge

The shower drain was very slow to drain, patched holes left unpainted in the room, and the hot tub was listed as an amenity but was roped off and unable to use. The property was convenient to downtown Asheville and the 2 bedroom suite was a great layout.

It was clean, quiet, spacious, and great for families. It had a separate area to living area. So kids could go to sleep without everyone having to go to bed. I would’ve like to check in early. No real complaints.

Very nice spacious condo. The staff was friendly and helpful with dinner recommendations (Mountain Madre for great Mexican food). The pet fee is the highest we've experienced but the room rate was one of the best we've experienced. Overall a very good experience.

2 bedroom was great, view was amazing and pool was perfect. Although the hot tub is under construction. Aside from that it was great

Location to things was great. So many things to do close by. Room was just the right size and the price for what we received was amazing! Hot tub was down. No trash cans out side other than at the one smoking area that was lacking and it was always over flowing.

The grounds keeping could've been better around the stairways.

First of all, the a/c ran constantly, yet never got below 74 degrees. The entire room/ condo smelled like marijuana!!! The carpet in the bedroom was completely nasty... There was some odd stain on the bed cover. Shower was nasty I'm glad I only had to endure one night there! They advertised a restaurant, signs everywhere, in the website, in the elevator, on the road front.... BUT they told me it was closed... For the price, I could have and should have just booked a holiday inn!! I will certainly never ever stay there again!! Do you're due diligence to steer way clear of the Lantern Lodge!!!

Very spacious condo and great location to Biltmore and downtown. Property was a bit dated but worked well for us

Location and space of the apt Elevator was broken and my room was on the upper level. Smoke detector kept going off in the middle of the night when there was no smoke.

The beds were terrible

The room was very well appointed with useful amenities, such as a full refrigerator/freezer. But when the air conditioner came on, it sounded like an airplane taking off! Very loud. And there was not enough sound buffering from other rooms. We were awakened at 6 AM by upstairs occupants walking around and moving chairs.

The location was in a good area I was charged a $500 deposit due to living in the area. This information is not listed on booking.com or the hotels website. When I call in about this, the staff could not find this information as well. This was very concerning because if the information is not listed, why was I charged a $500 deposit? The suite was not thoroughly cleaned. There needs to be an upgrade in furniture and electronics. The tv in the bedroom did not work, there was hair in the shower that did not belong to us, the bedroom floor has a huge dip in it, and the couch was extremely old.

I love this place -always stay here when in Asheville. The value can’t be beat and it is clean and consistently comfortable. Need more pillows on the king size bed!
