Great location that’s within walking distance of downtown. We were given all kinds of great information on Aspen when we checked in. Our room was very nice and the price was very reasonable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location closer to downtown. Bus stop was next to property if you want to take free shuttle to Aspen Highlands for maroon bells. Clean rooms with Kitchen and they had provided all needed stuff. Front desk was very helpful. Free bikes at property.

A short walk into the heart of Aspen, a hint of what Aspen was like 40 years ago. This is the place to go if you want a clean quiet room, with old aspen hands running the hotel. Not fancy, but very reasonable prices for Aspen.

This hotel is an endangered slice of old Aspen. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the kind of genuinely welcoming front desk staff that have become all too rare. It felt as though I had stepped back into the Aspen of the 1980s—not as a dated time capsule, but as the town was at its best: warm, welcoming, and full of character. Throughout the property, iconic photos and gear celebrate Aspen's history, the surrounding mountains, and the pioneers who helped build the town's ski culture. The atmosphere feels authentic and rooted in place rather than designed to impress. The rooms were remarkably spacious—far larger than many of Aspen's newer luxury properties—while remaining spotless and exceptionally well maintained. The complimentary coffee and well-stocked snack selection were a pleasant surprise and reflected the same spirit of thoughtful and generous hospitality found throughout the property. In a town where luxury can sometimes feel manufactured, this hotel offers something increasingly rare: genuine hospitality, character, and a true sense of place. For travelers seeking the Aspen that existed before the designer boutiques and ultra-luxury hotels, this property is a refreshing reminder of what made the town special in the first place.

The location is great and close to Aspen downtown area (5 min walk distance). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is comfort and very clean. You can hear the traffic noisy from the room. The wifi is not fast and stable. The breakfast is light.

Such a great stay and Incredible value for Aspen, particularly as it’s been recently refurbished to a great standard. Super helpful staff. Fantastic.

No air conditioning

The gentleman who checked me into my room was beyond accommodating. He gave me a map of aspen along with all the knowledge of the town, best bites, things to see and etc. Very nice staff.

Amazing place to stay. Walking distance to everything. The rooms were exceptionally clean and bedding so comfy! Office manager who checked us in was super friendly and told us about a bit of the history. This place was great and we will be returning.
