Best Western Athens

Do not stay here. Price is great until you see why. It is close to the main sights of Athens, but the rooms and towels were dirty, breakfast only had a couple of bagels and yogurt. We had to switch rooms three times. First one smelled like cigarettes, second one the TV and phone were not working. I had to call the main desk from my cellphone. Third one was a charm (barely) and the floor and towels were incredible dirty to the point my son's white socks turned black.

Shower curtain was disgusting

Great people and nice location

Good, close to Sanford Stadium!

Ok

Great place!

I paid $400.00 for this room in Athens GA to go see a concert and it was the most dreadful, dated, nasty environment I've ever stayed in my life. The pictures are incredibly misleading and it was down right scary. I have pictures of blood on the sheets, on the wall, on the door to the bathroom. The shower had hair in it, it smelled like smoke and there were weird sounds in the walls all night long. I want my money back or some sort of credit or something for risking my life to stay for one night.

Toilet wouldn’t flush toilet leak all over floor

I can actually not believe how expensive this hotel was for what it was . Equivalent to a motel 6…In room phone didn’t work, most of the gym equipment didn’t work. Limited parking. The WiFi code written on the key envelope was wrong. The smart tv couldn’t log into any it’s apps

Staff was great. Clean room. Great location. Stayed here multiple times. Will be back. Go Dawgs

Oh and the breakfast incredible!!

Room was clean and the breakfast was sufficient. When reserving the room the website stated I would NOT be charged yet so I used my debit card as a placeholder. It was immediately charged. I planned to use a credit card for rewards but that obviously went down the drain. Upon arrival I asked where the pool and hot tub were (major reasons for booking this particular hotel) only to be told that they were both closed due to someone braking a beer bottle. There was paper taped blocking the windows so obviously they had been out of use for some time. The hotel itself was nice enough but those two issues left a very poor taste in my mouth. Especially for the amount of money I paid for the stay.

There are two types of rooms at this hotel. If you don’t care about anything except having a bed and bathroom, you need to choose an outside room. If you are traveling with family, want to have a clean room that is safe, choose a room inside.

THERE IS NO POOL AS ADVERTISED.

Great location and staff

Everything

No coffee in the room as well at front desk or at breakfast place . Breakfast closed on Sunday. Never heard or never experienced before . No drinking water on premises. My suggestion- keep vending machine . In 2 queen bed - only two towels. I checked in with my son and wife . Atleast there should be 3 bath towels . Room bed and AC were quite comfortable and cool . No issues . Toiletries needs upgrade .

Staff was very friendly and seemed to care about the guests. The property is old and in our case the bathroom was pretty dingy. They need to clean walls, and recaulk the bath tubs. Also the drains drained very slow in the tub and sink. We also did not get breakfast on our last day and they had to supply us with chick fil a for breakfast on a Saturday because they didn’t get their typical food order in. The entire facility needs to be fixed and updated.

Ants in bathroom. Slug in the tub. No eggs at breakfast. But comfortable bed. I slept well.

The place smells like it was cleaned with a dirty mop, the room smelt
