A Place at the Beach

Great place to stay. Nice location. There is no house keeping at all and no front desk service after 6pm. You must do the dishes and take out the trash before you check out.

We absolutely love staying!! This is our second time there for Labor Day! We love the pools, we love the beach and the property. The only thing I would change is me and my husband would love to get in the hot tub after our teens are asleep but they are closed at 9pm. Wish we could enjoy them later at night

Outdoors the place is well kept and that deserves 5 stars.

Everything with the room and property was good. Check in was easy. The elevator was out the whole time we were there. It all turns around if you ask any employee a question. We had 6 people in our room and we only had 4 towels. I went to the office and asked for 2 more sets of towels. They acted like I asked them for a kidney. With an attitude, the response was, "We don't provide extra towels, there's a laundry mat on the 2nd floor." I said I don't need EXTRA towels. We have 6 people in our room and only was left 4 towels. They said WITH AN ATTITUDE "I'll let housekeeping know," Did we ever get more towels you ask? NO!!! The day we were checking out, we had our car packed up and ready to go. We saw other people taking their trash to the dumpster. We stopped to ask these two guys on a golf cart if we were supposed to take our trash out. They looked puzzled and again with the attitude, they said "Well it'd be nice". I said well if we'd have gotten some checkout instructions, we would have known. So we go back to our room and take the trash to the dumpster. My suggestion is that they train their employees on customer service skills and how to treat their guests, They also need to add to their packet CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS. My family will more than likely find somewhere else to stay in the future, I don't go on vacation to have snarky attitudes. If I wanted that I would have stayed at work!

Excellent value for the price. Basically a private beach, excellent pool and many games/activities available for free rental.

Always enjoyed our time at the beach. Room met our expectations- our time was mostly spent walking on the beach, thereby we did not take advantage of pool and other amenities. Great vacation spot!

Very nice place

I'm handicapped and have trouble with walking and stairs.and the door on the L building on the 1st floor did not work our entire stay

We were impressed at the resort. We were right on the beach in a nice condo. Staff, amenities, and location weee great!

We were very pleased with just about everything except the room location. We were in room 150 which was 1/4 mile from the beach and on the other side of the complex as the outdoor pool. When we arrived we needed to use a dolly to move our things from the car to the room. We had to go to the 2nd floor, get the dolly, go down the elevator, and then walk the entire length of the complex to the room. We then had to take the dolly back to where we got it.

Excellent accommodations for the nature of our family trip, but it was a weird layout. Wonderful amenities! Our kids really loved the outdoor slide and so close to Fort Macon!

The staff were excellent and very helpful, especially the pool and maintenance staff.

This was our second year staying at A Place at the beach and we love it, the indoor and outdoor pools are fabulous my granddaughters love the waterslide!! My only complaint was that they removed the playground hopefully they will replace it before our trip next year.
