Bask Hotel at Big Rock Landing

There does seem to be some deferred maintenance in the building and in the room that I was in Overall, it was a quick easy stay for me and satisfied what I was looking for given the location

I lived the room and staff were very accommodating. My room did have a small leak from the air conditioning unit in master bedroom which caused a small wet spot on carpet with a slight mildew smell. Other than that, I loved it! I look forward to returning next year.

The room was lovely. Very clean. I had a king studio with balcony. There was a keurig coffee maker with a few k cups provided. I loved the room. The breakfast was ok - I wouldn’t order the quiche again, but the lemon bread was great. The lobby had hot coffee and hot water, but no cold water to fill a refillable water bottle. Since I stayed at the end of June and it was hot, I was disappointed to fill my water bottle from the tap.

Great location, great staff and amenities! I was hoping for a high floor room but our type of room only was available in lower floors. Still the balcony & furniture was fabulous. Breakfast was just ok but was included and delivered! I really enjoyed sitting on the hotel patio in the rockets. Great neighbor in the house next door! Everyone was so friendly!

The hotel itself is nicely renovated, and the rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. There’s also plenty of parking for most guests, which is a big plus. While unloading isn’t the most convenient, it’s manageable and not too far from the entrance. We appreciated the small touches like available coffee and the option to purchase snacks, water, soft drinks, and even beer. The lobby and sitting areas overlooking the waterway are updated and provide a relaxing place to unwind. The main downside for us was the in-room HVAC unit, which was fairly loud. In our room, one of the vents was positioned right above the bed and pushed out quite a bit of air, making it a bit uncomfortable at times. Also, it’s worth noting that the hotel doesn’t offer additional amenities like a pool or on-site activities—it’s more of a place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Because of that, it feels better suited for adults rather than families looking for lots of on-site entertainment. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. It’s a clean, comfortable hotel in a fantastic location—perfect for a laid-back waterfront getaway.

Rooms were clean, but carpets could use a good shampooing..lots of stains. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good with healthy choices. Parking was more than adequate and very convenient with garage entrance leading directly to elevators. Cooling unit could use repair or replacing. Our suite maintained 77, 78, and 79 degrees during our entire stay. My sister's suites were very cool and comfortable with constant temps in the 60's. Overall stay was good. Plans to return soon!
