Garnet Inn & Suites, Morehead City near Atlantic Beach

It was what we needed; a clean place to stay with a breakfast. The location was perfect and the staff were friendly. I felt like it was a very nice place for a reasonable rate

Property is nowhere near clean or maintained. We had to switch out of the first room we were given due to potent mold smell and excessive amounts of mold in the bathroom / sink area. Second room had a less potent smell and no visible mold and we deemed it somewhat "tolerable" for 1 night. We would not return unless the entire property were to under go complete renovations.

I had a hard time opening and closing the door. The bathroom door was the same way. Breakfast was less than stellar, they had bagels, English muffins. But no toaster. The best thing about my staywas the television.

Filthy! Mold in the bathroom, ceiling of room, and chair in room. No tissues, no soap or towel rack by sink. Filters in AC were disgusting! (I have environmental allergies and always check the AC filters in motel rooms…..these were the worst ever….photo attached) If we hadn’t been extremely tired from traveling all day, we would have left and found another hotel! The hotel lobby was nice, breakfast was alright, and the desk clerk on 9/26 was very friendly, but the condition of our room made our stay miserable!

The hotel staff was super nice and helpful! The room was decently clean. It was a last minute trip, most of the time wasn't spent at the hotel so I cannot complain! I would stay here again.

The staff was great! The coffee was delicious. First room had water all over the bathroom floor. Our room was changed immediately. The second room the handle on the sink came off and we had to put it back on. When we woke up in the morning (the beds were very comfortable) my son had bites on his arm and when we looked at the side of the bed the sheets were dirty. The overall upkeep needed work.

The room was not clean, however there were no bedbugs! Hair and gunk still in bathroom. Stopper in bathtub didn’t work. Very loud neighbors. Breakfast was minimal and had nothing fresh or healthy. Air conditioning unit had issues staying where you set it. Staff was typically on their phone.

The property was not kept, they gave no service, coming in was great staying was officially kept, never stayed anywhere that wasn't keep,no tissue or towels unless you went for them, would not answer phone really nothing good to say

Pool needed cleaning. Sheets would not stay on bed. Very Clean. Bed was very comfy. Will definitely stay there again.

The air conditioning wasn’t blowing cool air when we first checked in, but someone from the front desk, came right down and got it working.

I really did like my stay, the front desk girl was wonderful..that being said, the room was not clean, hair and dirt on the dust ruffle and comforter either had not been washed or was stained badly. I went out and bought my own sheets...the property would be so very cute if cleaned around the outside and the pool area needs attention bad. I had loose tiles in the bathroom doorway and a ring in the toilet..all these are minor things and with a bit of care would be easy to make better..I never got offered clean towels or anything. The price was so reasonable though, and the ease of being right in the middle of Morehead made me happy and I would stay again, I just think the place could look better.

Reasonably priced. If you're looking for a spot for a good night sleep...a shower with plenty of hot water... an outdoor swimming pool...breakfast, then check them out. Contractors, retirees, etc many stay here

Room was full of mold and stains on the ceiling.

It’s an older motel. Room was musty, there was no soap only bath wash. Buffet was not bad. Not enough pillows, which were too soft. Air conditioners sounded like a truck when it would go on. Fridge was nice and cool.

The motel was clean and the room was clean. I enjoyed my stay. More towels were needed. But everything else made the stay enjoyable. I will stay there again.
