Elevator #2 was functioning in what seemed not to be safe . Advised desk clerk she stated something about it being old .

Downstairs area and breakfast area where extremely hot. Fans all over the floors didn’t nothing. It was a hot flash every time my family sat down for breakfast and was miserable. Plenty of other families were complaining to one another about how uncomfortable the lobby and breakfast area wa a. We were dripping sweat before we sat down to our food. The meat almost every morning was overcooked and rubbery and something was off with the grits and possibly the shredded cheese for them. I ended up sticking to cereal after the first morning. People in rooms around us were loud, kids screaming. Poop was closed a couple of days. Still trying to figure out how 4 nights at $179 a night ended up costing me $1365. The elevators we slow and honestly a bit scary sounding. I was not the only guest that mentioned that. Several said something almost every time I was on the elevator with another guest. Would not recommend.

The breakfast was delicious, hot, and plentiful. We stayed 3 mornings and each day had different meat which consisted of bacon, sausage patty, and sausage links. The southwest omelet was very tasty. We were able to get to Emerald isle in a 10 minute drive. There were lots of places to eat within a 5 minute drive. Plus we were able to walk to a taco bell, smoked pork restaurant, and a high end bistro and wine place. In the back of the hotel we were able to walk to the sound to watch the boats and do a little fishing. Kudos to the staff for their friendliness and desire to make our stay comfortable and a home away from home. The lobby was a little warm but our room and the halls were cool and comfortable.

Overall this was a great and affordable place to stay. They have some outdated features such as the TV but it’s clean and and the bed was comfortable!

The hotel is exquisitely maintained, the staff courteous and kind. The breakfast buffet has a great variety and the items we tasted were delicious for the two nights that we stayed there. We highly recommend this hotel.

Our grandson enjoyed the pool. Room was clean. Beds slept good

The staff was friendly. I found the condition of the hotel not to correlate with the cost of the room. The breakfast was less than satisfactory.

The ony thing i didn't like was the toilet it was very short and I felt like I was falling when I went to sit down. O YES we was in room 403. Other then that everything was great 👍

This was a mixed bag. While the location is nice and the lobby and amenities are ok. The rooms themselves as well as the exterior of the building need updating badly. My room smelled faintly of mildew and the whole room just felt dingy. Now, that being said. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was varied, hot, and delicious. The gym was well stocked and the pool was clean. Overall a mid experience. It served its purpose.

Although the staff was friendly, the property seemed on a lower rung compared with other Hampton Inns I have stayed in. The carpets are old, toilet slow to operate and overall maintenance and updating seems overdue. I'm a fan of Hampton Inns in general but this one seemed overpriced and dated.
