The Hotel At Auburn University

My stay was great and the staff were amazing. However the room service website was glitchy. I scanned the QR code ordered and charged my dinner and a glass of wine to my room after a long day of travel only never to receive my meal. An hour after it was supposed to be delivered to my room I scanned another QR code for help and never received a response. I eventually went downstairs to talk to someone to find out my order never came through their system and the kitchen was closing. The staff apologized and quickly made my dinner and poured my wine. But the entire point of room service is to not to hand to leave your room.

Many of the staff are obviously Auburn students working while going to school. I can’t say enough about the kindness. Rooms are clean and a nice size. Prices in the restaurant are to be expected given where the hotel is located. Short walk to look around the university or just check out Auburn itself

The cafe, restaurant/bar and jazz lounge are all amazing! Food is delicious to compliment the beautiful hotel and kind staff.

Overall, everything was great! The restaurant went above and beyond when we arrived late after a long day of travel and the restaurant had just closed, they still fed us. The front desk staff were very pleasant as was the coffee shop. The only issues we had was the bathroom door stuck so badly we could hardly open it and then it made a loud bang each time. We were concerned it would bother the other guests. Also, the air conditioner casing rattled but my husband fixed it after the first night. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were good too which is rare at hotels. We will continue to stay there in the future.

The pool bricks were falling apart, and the pool was dirty. The shower was unacceptable. There was mold in the grout. The manager was kind and moved us to another room. However, I will never stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast was very good. Front desk staff was extremely friendly. Valets were great! The mattress on the pull out couch in our suite could be better. I know it's just a couch, but the fact that it makes into a bed means some guests, like myself, will use it. It's pretty pathetic :( Needs a better mattress and a comforter to go along with the linens provided for that pull out bed. It got pretty chilly through the night but I didn't want to call housekeeping to get a comforter because I didn't want to wake up the kids traveling with us. Would have been nice to have a comforter to go with the sheets and the one blanker provided.
