Super 8 by Wyndham Augusta/Ft Eisenhower Area

I didn’t stay and I’m requesting my money back from Booking.com. They falsely advertised to be pet friendly but was not and they wouldn’t check me in.

The blanket had burnt marks in it more than one and the TV kept jumping wasn't able to select anything from the guide also were to live

It was a place to sleep that was close to the base for graduation ceremony 2 rooms reserved 1 double & king Hotel front door locked like it was Ft. Knox. Had to pick up wall phone and dial 0 to get a person to the outdoor window. Had to wait 20 min outside, after midnight to be given key to 1-double room. When asked about the 2nd room, they wanted to argue that there was only one room reservation in my name, 1 room with 2 beds.   Manager on phone wanted to argue same.. Had to show reservation confirmation showing 2 rooms, they still wanted to argue. Went to "look again" and took another 10 min before "finding" the reservation and being given keys to 2 rooms. Door to enter from the parking lot (w/ key pad) was either not actually locked or the lock was broken. Place under renovation with construction materials, everywhere with no mention anywhere on the site of that status. Claimed to be 100% non-smoking, but reeked of stake cigarette smoke with underlying odor of Marijuana and mildew.  Linens were threadbare and had burn holes The hot and cold water lines were reversed in one room. Door to double room was not hung square and had to be manhandled to close. It was also slightly damaged. The bathroom door in the king room also was not square and didn't close completely. Door in king room was missing the safety latch. The breakfast that was supposed to be included consisted of banana bunch on front desk and offered as checking out. Otherwise was unavailable.

It’s a very basic hotel. The room was clean and OK and the staff was very nice.

Very disappointing stay. The hotel is outdated, smelled heavily of smoke, and looked poorly maintained. They say renovations are happening, but it wasn’t noticeable. I would not recommend booking here.

Check in process was poor - door to the front desk (if there ever was one) was locked - waited a few minutes for a guy to come to the window asking for my id. He then disappeared for about 10 minutes while we waited outside in an area that did not seem very safe. The attendant then asked us to walked around the building to enter through a side door where a person smoking weed entered the facility through tailgating us. It's worth to pay the 30% more to not stay at a Super 8 (at least not this one) in the future.
