Hampton Inn & Suites Bakersfield/Hwy 58, CA

We are spoiled as a people that we automatically think the TV's are all smart TV's. They are not. There was no guide and when I went to the front desk to inquire, the gentlemen said "oh, I guess they gave out the last print out without making more copies, sorry". The breakfast everymorning was really good. The assistant working the kitchen on Sunday really could have used some help. Overall, it was the best part of our stay.

Just very middle of the road place to stay. Nothing really horrible or really good about this property. Not the best part of town but they do have a overnight security guy in the parking lot. It served it's purpose as an okay place to stay for the night

My favorite hotel in the area. Clean rooms,beautiful breakfast and amazing staff.

The refrigerator was all iced up would not close

However, the garage cans outside were overflowing with trash. Also, we are traveling with our dogs and we assumed we would be on the 1st floor. But, we were disappointed that they put us on the 2nd floor, which made it difficult for our elder dog and our other dog that is afraid of elevators.

Room was spacious, clean and comfy. Hubby enjoyed the breakfast while I walked the dogs on the soft green grass out front, in the shade. Nice that you have frozen microwave meals available. Also enjoyed a great dinner at the Mexican restaurant next door. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced!

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good and they offered a lot Shower doors were old and looked like they needed to be replaced

Very comfortable beds. Quiet (4th floor). Scrambled eggs for breakfast were fantastic, sausage not crispy, coffee excellent. Needs a new paint job inside, at least in bathroom, doors.. bathroom sink wood frame needs repair. Would have liked a walk-in shower (none in any 2 queen suites.

Great staff. Comfortable and safe hotel. Modern and clean. Easy check in and check out. Very nice breakfast. No complaints at all

Loved the location, the pet friendly community. Breakfast was nice. Only complaint was the train in the morning, and the one elevator. Otherwise would def stay again.

Good location. We stayed here last year and were looking forward to it again. Unfortunately, things seemed to have gone downhill. I tried to make tea when we got there and the water was lukewarm. My husband wanted coffee and there wasn’t any dark roast. So he settled for light roast but it was also lukewarm. Our room was fine but they had turned the air conditioner off so the room was around 90 degrees. Took quite a while to get it cooled down. When I went to use the bathroom the toilet paper holder fell off the wall. I did appreciate the size of the refrigerator with separate freezer. Breakfast was good but again no dark roast coffee. Will probably look for a different place next year.
