Spark by Hilton Bardstown

Under construction, booked for the pool but unfortunately you had to access it from the outside due to construction and our room wad a distance from it. So I didn't want to walk around outside to get to it, nor get in car and drive , only to get in car wet afterwards. Only the pool situation

The indoor swimming pool was not very clean and it was so cold that you couldn’t even enjoy it. The breakfast was absolutely horrible. It had some donuts, bagels, and yogurt. There was no other true healthy options. This hotel was a complete disappointment.

This property felt brand new! Very clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice!

There were long strands of black hair in several places in the shower. Collected dirt particles behind the bathroom door. The pillows were rounded and very uncomfortable. We walked outside to get to the main entrance for coffee for breakfast. The breakfast items were not fresh nor tasty. With the name of Hilton behind Sparks was definitely not up to Hilton standards and very disappointing.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our location was close to everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again if I was in the area. The free continental breakfast could have used some more food. Tea bags were not even restocked. It was a little lacking.

They recently had a Fire and Water leak. We were not notified that there wouldn’t be breakfast due to the damage. We chose this hotel for that reason. Notifications should have been sent to us so we could chose to change our reservation.

Had reservations but when we arrived, the hotel was closed due to pipes bursted on second floor. But, no one contacted us about the closure. Not good business.

Our stay was good. We stayed for the weekend to visit some distilleries. We booked from Hotels for a king bed but got put into a two queen room due to them being full. We were told that since we booked through a third party, we don’t get our preference. Staff was nice and apologetic about the room situation. Breakfast was nice - fresh fruit cup, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal with lots of toppings, pastries. We would stay there again.

1. I booked through Hotels.com to get a rate of $166/night instead of $196/night. I was sent an email through hotels.com from Hilton telling me to put my stay in the app for contactless check in. So I tried. After an hour of trying to figure it out, I called. I was told that because I booked through hotels.com that I couldn’t even claim my Hilton points, let alone use the app. Ok, then why the email? 2. Because I couldn’t use the app or claim my points, the WiFi wasn’t free as my honors membership wasn’t recognized. They had a free one, but it wouldn’t stay connected longer than an hour. Ok, no more booking through hotels.com; pay the extra $30/night for internet. 3. The shower never got hot. It got warm, but never hot. 4. The next bothersome thing couldn’t really be helped by the hotel — it was just the layout from the pool to the patio and the way the door slammed every time someone went through it. There were several travel ball teams there and their parents all had a case of beer each. You can figure out that one . 5. Finally, if you want breakfast of microwave pancakes and danish, this place is for you. But for $166 a night, if I wanted protein I had to pay for grocery store purchased Jimmy Dean products for 100% mark up and microwave them myself. Spark is a bogus brand. For $40 less a night, I’ll go to the IHG a block away next time.

Some Door is close to parking lot Loud kids running screaming slamming doors no parents with them staff didn’t pay attention never at the front desk had to call n report noise after listening to it for hours on in I got fed up at 11pm that it was still going on

Good price for the size of the room and super clean

I think the breakfast bar could have been kept a little bit cleaner since there was a lot of kids.For whatever reason, this weekend at the facility. Overall everything was amazing. I don't believe though that the staff should be outside at the entrance.Smoking. p s you may want to change the sign on 245 to read ,Sparks by Hilton. The old one is still up that says Hampton. Inn, by Hilton.. that sign is very dirty and hard to read.
