Talbott Tavern and Inn

The only thing that was a bit of a nuisance was our room was underneath a staircase that led outside and folks were tromping up and down the steps till after midnight but it was a minor annoyance.

Clean, friendly staff, fun atmosphere and live music! The food in the restaurant downstairs was amazing! The complementary breakfast that was included was far above the quality we expected. You can hear the music from the bedroom. Not something that bothered us. Its something that’s important to keep in mind when booking.

Bed and water pressure. The bathroom deinitely needs some attention.

This historic hotel was a real treat. Our room was the perfect blend of old and modern. The staff was very friendly. The cooked to order breakfast was convenient and adequate. Wandering the Talbott Tavern building was a fun bit of history. Very convenient to all things downtown Bardstown. Plenty of free parking nearby. No negatives to report.

Perfect location for walking to shops and restaurants. Lots of history in the building, awesome staff and comfortable rooms. We will definitely stay at the Talbot Tavern on our next trip to Kentucky!

The breakfast was very good and a surprise actually. We ordered eggs made to order and all the trimmings and it was delicious. I was a little disappointed to be in the Inn instead of the Old Talbott Tavern building itself. I had told my friends we would be in the old place where Andrew Jackson and Stephen Foster among other famous people had stayed back in the day.

Breakfast was good. No parking. Put us above the bar where a singer and band played for hours. No chance of sleep due to the noise. They didn't tell us about this problem. If they had at checking they could have given us another room or we would have left as they knew of this situation . Room location. Right over bar and singer and band. No chance of sleep. They failed to tell us of this known situation. No one at dest to talk with until morning. The manager was to call me about resolving this but did not. Will not stay there again or recommend this to anyone.

The hotel was clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome. I will recommend Talbott Inn to my friends. I will be back. Water pressure low. Could have grab bars in the shower.

The humidity in the room was so great that everything was damp. I was drenched in sweat trying to sleep. The a/c was on 68⁰. Also the walls and floors are so thin, it sounded like people upstairs were running laps. Woke me up several times.

FOOD WAS OK,ONLY.

The breakfast that was included with the stay was rough. Also, LOTS of foot traffic since we stayed in the "haunted" or old rooms at the hotel. The water pressure was an entire situation.
